Today went to HSBC to enquire on the HSBC 5% promo. Was told that I must maintain RM10 in their "saving" account n if I close the account, I need to request banker cheque to get back the RM10 as they won't refund through cash. N I will charged for the banker cheque RM5 + GST. So, means no matter how I will need to pay them the "admin fee" (my balance in the Acc) to close the account.

Actually HSBC Advance quite nice, free coffee every visit, why close it?

Haha, bcoz of the RM10 monthly charges if balance less than RM30k. N I don drink coffee. Hehe.. N the interest rate offer by HSBC not worth to keep RM30k in there if other bank can offer better rate. If without the monthly fee, I'm willing to keep it..

Just place the maybank 6+6, the FD cert didn't show next 6 months rate. Only show 4.04 for 1st 6 months

Do u need to return FD cert for validation upon expiry?
*

I suppose Maybank need to validate 2nd 6 mths later  hmm.gif

I saw there is 1 clause in the ads stating subject to OPR, maybe this is the reason why they didn't put the next 6 months rate in the FD cert.

Anyone trying out Instant Interbank Fund Transfer (IBFT) through M2U?  The fee (0.53) is supposed to be waived from today till 31-Dec.  I tried but kept getting rejection code (0089).  Ended up using GIRO costing 0.11.

Suppose GIRO also free
