QUOTE(Vincent9696 @ Sep 16 2015, 09:03 AM) Frankly speaking , I very disappointed with HLB , last 2-3 years I placed a FD (1 month tenure, principal plus interest)before , the date of maturity I want to withdraw it with full amount plus the current month"s interest , they didn't calculate first and show to me , when I got my money , I realize the total amount less than what I thought. I asked the officer , they said the teller forgotten to add on , complaint it till branch manager , also said no choice , the transaction been done , only say sorry and give me kids coin box as gift for compensation...lol After this case happen , I never go with HLB , even their credit card I also terminate it . Only deal with HLA because supporting my friend who is working thr. you let them go easily if the amount is worth-it..they could have easily give you the difference in amount..next time complain till HQ..

QUOTE(wesleycjh @ Sep 21 2015, 04:26 PM) I have 15mths 4.5% FD with SCB which started at 18 Mar 2015, and supposed to get the interest on 18 Sep 2015, but I don't see any interest being credited to the CASA I called the CS and they said I wrongly interpret the t&c in the FD cert whereby it supposed to be credited 6 monthly and only paid at Maturity date! I responsed back that no convincing me enuf whereby I know in the forum got depositors have same issue, complaint then get the interests accordingly. Then he said he will ask the KL Main branch (the branch that i placed the FD) officer to call me. Shld I stand firm to insist on the 6 monthly interest ?? one tips. no point mentioning this forum, they wouldn't bother. in future, just state your friend but do not reveal any names. Banks are not supposed to ask for personal details of others. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Sep 21 2015, 07:22 PM

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Sep 22 2015, 07:05 AM) FD shall NOT be used as collateral for pledging purposes. <-- bummer for potential HLB Wise Credit Card applicants who wanted to pledge FD. For CC pledging, usually have to take the board rates right? Any banks that allow pledging with promotional rates?

QUOTE(HJebat @ Sep 24 2015, 12:53 AM) Hi everyone, has abondoned this thread for a while because ran out of bullets to store. Now resurface here because have some bullets at my disposal. Just checked the first page & looks like things are not much different than before. The best rate still hovers around 4.10% - 4.70%. With the current state of affairs, most probably will be heading to MBSB soon. For those who are keeping track of the FD rates, kindly fill me in if I missed out anything. good to see you back. UOB and Ambank both offering 4.2% for 12 months, no CASA. QUOTE(nitehawk @ Sep 24 2015, 07:30 AM) UOB Damansara Uptown informed me via SM that FD rates up to 4.25% p.a. with min deposit of RM100K fresh fund. Promo ends 30 Sept 2015. UOB damansara uptown again they really proactive..need to be sure whether it is for specific branches or all regions.

I have a joint FD account with Ambank branch X. If I want to place a new joint FD account with Ambank Y, can I go alone or do I need to bring the joint account holder again?
