QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 15 2015, 07:42 PM) Hi, just managed to check online now..sorry for delay..yup, it is in right on the dot. Did instant IBG too TQ. Mine one is on 19/9. I think should be OK.But there are at least 2 forumers here that did not get their 6 months interest. One of them PM'ed me. I think either he have to take drastic action like complaining to BNM or just have to wait till maturity. |

In RHB for matured FD. Lazy to move around, so just take their 9 mth 4.1% offer. Initially the counter staff said need to add few k to get the current promo rate. Asked to see the BM. She then said few hundred will do.

QUOTE(yygo @ Sep 17 2015, 10:33 PM) unkle ram mixed up with mbsb. QUOTE(ewingcher @ Sep 18 2015, 01:57 PM) I did the same after talking to the Manager despite the counter officer's insistence in asking for a 10% top-up in order to enjoy the promotional rate. The 9-month promotion was at 4.15 last year though. Yes my 9 mth FD that matured was getting 4.15% (Dec 2014 placement). I topped up using the interest obtained to get the new 9 mth 4.10% . |

QUOTE(esy @ Sep 19 2015, 08:35 AM) ... I mean to say a fully conformed islamic bank ... most banks is only partially islamic as sort of their subsidiary, but the funny part is Affin Bank insisted me to open 2 saving account for Islamic FD and Commercial FD ... they told me that Islamic FD interest can only go to Islamic SA ... I guess it some sort of "haram" issue ... hummmm, not sure then ... banking procedures are at times confusing ... Yes, for AmBank they also asked me to open an Islamic SA for the Islamic FD that I placed, though I already have a normal SA with them. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 19 2015, 02:21 PM) Actually, A bank and A islamic bank are 2 different and independent entity. They do not cross linked each other in term of transaction and operation, even through they are operated under the same branch, same parent company. For HL, at the same branch, they do not ask me to open Islamic SA when I opened Islamic FD with them. I have normal FD and SA with them. They can deposit interest from Islamic FD to normal SA. |

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Sep 20 2015, 12:35 AM) Sorry for my late reply. Ah Sir..Ā Thanks.Just checked my SCB online banking, yes, I received SCB second batch 15 months 4.25% FD interest in my saving account yesterday (19 September). So, for 4.25% FD, we just need to wait for the maturity only. For 4.5% FD, my second batch of interest due is 4 March 2016. Quite a long time.. I still have the 18 mth 4.25% FD interests coming up, followed by the 15 mth 4.5% one. You can relax now while I will report if I have problem from now until 4/3/2016. QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 20 2015, 06:34 PM) for the 2nd batch 4.5% one, you guys earlier than me one day. My 2nd batch for 18 months, 4.25% up on 29th Sep..i don't foresee any problem, touchwood Haha, my second batch 18 mth 4.25% FD is on 25/9, followed by 1/10. I don't foresee any problem. Except I was not comfortable that my 1st 15 mth 4.5% is ok, but second one has to complain to RM and waited for 2 weeks to get it. Not too comfortable with SCB's system. As mentioned there are still forummer that did not receive the 6 mth interest and one of them PM'ed me asking for personal info (to complain to SCB). QUOTE(eleven dragon @ Sep 20 2015, 08:20 PM) Hi bbgoat, just want to clarify with u again, as i went to SCB PJ branch last week to sort out of interest issue, the guy told me that i can only get full sum with interest upon maturity... and yes i put FD for both 4.25% and 4.5% but none of them I received interest credited to my account.. In the FD cert it states >12 mth FD will receive interest every 6 mths. Several of us received the 6th mth interest. So are they supposed to credit interest 6 monthly? May i know which branch of SCB are you putting the FD? Thanks. QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Sep 20 2015, 09:49 PM) Lets see the situation first. Right now kind of unstable, not sure how is the situation. Most likely will still do that. QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Sep 20 2015, 09:49 PM) Ya loh...Very hard to accept a lousy service and a lousy FD interest crediting system from a reputable international bank |

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Sep 20 2015, 10:50 PM) For SCB "luckily", it has been for 15 mth to 18 mth FD's. Another possible scenario is move the "shelter" to a property (with a roof) !!! This post has been edited by bbgoat: Sep 21 2015, 09:13 AM |

QUOTE(wesleycjh @ Sep 21 2015, 04:26 PM) I have 15mths 4.5% FD with SCB which started at 18 Mar 2015, and supposed to get the interest on 18 Sep 2015, but I don't see any interest being credited to the CASA Looks like more people not getting the 6th mth interest for SCB FD >12 mths. I called the CS and they said I wrongly interpret the t&c in the FD cert whereby it supposed to be credited 6 monthly and only paid at Maturity date! I responsed back that no convincing me enuf whereby I know in the forum got depositors have same issue, complaint then get the interests accordingly. Then he said he will ask the KL Main branch (the branch that i placed the FD) officer to call me. Shld I stand firm to insist on the 6 monthly interest It depends on several factors like the amt of interest, personal factors (personal traits) etc. If you are a PB then can call up the RM. All depends on you on how you want to proceed. |

QUOTE(gsc @ Sep 24 2015, 11:56 AM) I missed out the maturity date and the board rate given on my renewed FD was only 3.45%. Went to the counter to withdraw and top up with cheque. RHB said no combination of cash and cheque. Withdraw all and deposit into another bank. This happenĀ about two weeks ago and the 9 month rate is 4.1% as officially published. I topped up my matured FD in RHB with cash RM300 to get the 9 mth 4.1% rate. The counter staff initially said top up few thousand. But I asked for the BM and she let it go. Called HL and confirmed they only have 6 mth 4% FD promo. No 12 mth 4.2% promo.
Checked SCB and received the 6 mth interest. IBFT out with ZERO charges. |

If that is true, isnt it wise not to put in long term fd? Wasai, just went in and saw several FD guys who are active there !!
