Hi all,
I have both version. Bought the ip 6 for the wife earlier and I can happily report that my wife do not have much issues with an ip compared with using android phone previously.
Then when my turn came along, I switch to ip 6+. And personally I am not letting go of the 6+ although it does have its setback such as the bigger than usual size when travelling.
To summarize, 6+ is the way to go.

I bought iPhone 6+ because:
1. Larger screen. Easy to view contents.
2. Larger battery. When I use 5 & 5S & the battery hits 20%, anxiety kicks in afraid of ran out of juice during important times. Now with 6+, 20% like meh, no problem.
3. Camera OIS. I take a lot of photos & videos with my phone for work. OIS shine when recording videos as less video shake.
My only complaint is the iOS keyboard in landscape mode. I wish they adopted the split keyboard lfe the iPad. Typing can be rather uncomfortable because the QWERTY keys are far in the middle with not really useful keys surrounding it. Much more comfortable typing in potrait.
