What about 720sf, main door facing east?

2.5hp should be sufficient depending on the location to install the FCU. In a living hall? In a room or dining. If the area is covered with wall 2.0hp should be enough. If is a open area then I suggest you go for higher hp 2.5hp

Guys, what is the best inverter air-con to get now? My room size is 14' x 14' x 9', so I guess the appropriate HP is 1.5?
*
There's is no best inverter air con in the market.

Just like you purchase a hybrid car. Which hybrid is the best to save fuel.
Prius, crz, A6 hybrid or even the high class S400 hybrid.
These are just price difference. There's no such if you bought a car that will never breakdown. Depends how you use them, how often you carry out servicing maintenance.

It's really depends on what spec you need. The function fit your requirements? Do you need those functions? Different air con comes with different functions etc ionizer, eye sensor, quiet mode bla bla..

Noted. So I rephrase my question, under 2k, which air-con is the best bang for buck? I only need it to cool quickly and save electricity.
*
Which HP you looking for? 2k budget can get a 1.5hp inverter + installation and have few hundred to get back.

Inverters doesnt cool down quickly. Same goes to other brands. It takes time to cool down the area but once cool down the area. You'll feel the cooling consistent coming out from the FCU which will maintain the cooling by setting the temperature.

At the end.. it still depends on what spec you need.

I will reckon panasonic.

My 1.5hp inverter panasonic aircond (year 2013) not really make the living hall feels cold.  Guess it is underpower (we should get 2hp, but then my dad cheapskate)...

So now we're looking for a new aircond, 2 - 2.5hp, for the renovated living room. Will try new brand this time, if there is any good offer.

Daikin, mitsubishi, sharp, which one is affordable (not too expensive just like the new panasonic elite series), durable (can last longer) and easy to maintain? Also, very cold one..

Thanks
*
Before this does your air con feels cold after installed? If it is maybe it needs to carry out servicing. Or there's some parts faulty need to be replace. Please seek for professional technician to have it checked.

Note if your inverter FCU is under powered. The compressor will spin at high rpm to achieve the cooling you need. When you set temperature at 18 - 16°c the compressor will non stop running at high speed. Since your FCU is under powered and the living hall is huge is no point installing a inverter cause it doesn't save electricity. Do you agree? Cause your FCU doesn't cool down the area at all.

Inverter system will always runs at high speed when you turned on. Once the area achieve the temperature the indoor thermistor will send a signal to the outdoor to ask the compressor rotate at medium speed or even low. That's how it works! How it save current. It only save current when the compressor rotating low speed when you use a longer period. If you use 2 - 3 hours is no point install inverter.

It is in the market. Selling lower price than what panasonic posted at their website. Seek for panasonic dealer. It's cheaper than 200 - 300

For Panasonic inverter aircond, what is the difference between iAutoX and cool setting?

I find that iAutoX will stop everything at some point and the room feels warm where else cool setting will give me constant cooling through 11 hours.
*
Is just like switch on powerful mode. Note everything will goes auto. You need to set back to normal mode once it cools down the area.

Hi, the SKY Series is expensive. You need to ask customer who installed before and try before first time and later you can install.
After installed, some customer will complain new one no good and later they feel like wasted.
*
Haha. I hope this series won't happen like previous model Panasonic o2 and Irobot. Air coming out from the top will makes any difference? Selling price also like sky high for 1.5hp.

Hi, in iAutoX mode.
iAUTO-X will automatically switch fan speed to high fan speed and super high fan speed depending on the temperature
difference between the room and the set temperature.
Low Speed --> Medium Speed --> High Fan Speed --> Super High Fan Speed.
iAUTO-X cools you down 35% faster compared to Panasonic Standard non-Inverter model with high fan.
After max 4 hours, the set temperature is shifted according to AUTO COMFORT activity detection.
*
As what I said. Everything goes auto..... Inverter pushing out high rpm for 4 hours and then only goes to auto comfort. Ini save current ke???

Hi guys, I'm considering to install either Panasonic or Daikin non-inverter airconds. Any feedback on these 2 brands? I heard people said Panasonic's board easily got problem after using 1-2 years.
*
Can't really judge on this issue. All these PCB boards have problems. Because it's electronic stuff. If they so confident on their products they would have give you 5 years warranty. But sadly. Is just 1 year. Because is electronics stuff. There's is no answer how long is a life span is. Same goes to other brands. If you're lucky you can use up to 4 years. But air con nowadays if you can use up to 4 - 5 years is a miracle.

How long you will use the air con in the living room? 3 hours? Or 4 hours? Or whole day if you're at home.

Hi. Wanna ask Panasonic A/C owners.

I just purchased a CU-S13RKH-1 (1.5HP?) inverter aircond.

So i'm using cool+econavi+nanoe-x (which I think is the most optimal setting to save?) at 28c.

So here's the issue.

I can hear the engine unit (the outdoor unit) from roaring, then it slows down, but as it slows down, there's this 'belting like' sound. It goes something like a screech and bzzt, is that normal? Its like those cars when you misclutch (where the clutch can't grip properly, it goes 'eeeeeeek eeeeeeeek'), something like that.
Because I don't really feel like dismantling the unit just to grab a warranty.
*
It's normal when you hear the revving sound from the compressor because the loud noise means it runs at high speed. Both fan and compressor. When cool down the area it will switch to medium speed and the sound goes a little lower. The sound is just like uhmm when aeroplane take off the jet sound getting louder and then when up sky the sound goes lower. Haha.. shouldn't have any sound besides the compressor and fan. Do check with your installer.

Anyone bought air con from Lazada before? How to claim the warranty? Also, around how much is the air con installation fee? I'm from Penang by the way.
*
This you check with lazada. Mostly air con distributor are from Selangor. I don't think they will travel to penang just to help.you to claim the faulty parts.
