I just found out, my capacitor for AC compressor has been swapped with a cap ayam one. it even says the electrolyte is vegetable oil.
this probably happened during one of the "cleaning" service. I always wondered why this unit always screaming loudly. Had it changed, now it runs smooth.

At the end of the day, lesson learned. Keep an eye on people doing services. This is probably their textbook tactic to get more jobs and steal original caps on unsuspecting customer.

Buy a caliper and measure?
Panasonic says to use thicker than 0.6mm.

I can't decide, currently considering mitsubishi inverter 1hp.
Looking for best power consumption. But then when i heard inverter board can cost rm500.

Normally, i just swap the run capacitors myself when the compressor stops running.

measured my panasonic r22 2010 1hp non inverter ac.
3.12A at the outdoor unit.

3.12x230=717.6W

i used a cheap clamp meter, so can't tell if it's super accurate.

Panasonic made in malaysia.
I just installed pu9. Pretty good. At 24c, the outdoor unit is chugging quietly.

If inverter get pana or daikin.
If normal maybe can go with mitsu.

Warranty is useless.
They're all 1 year.
Only the compressor is 5 years or more. But the thing hardly breaks.
First to go is the electronics.

if inverter, get panasonic or daikin.
if non, get any with r32 gas.
compressor doesn't die, the run capacitor does. the outdoor unit is pretty simple. it is an ac compressor afterall but if inverter, the outdoor unit has a pcb, well to convert ac to dc. that will die first.

Depends on your room.
If you feel cool at 25c with your current ac, inverter will run at half power.
