Can check, how come most of condo still remain old school.

Old school piping save cost, it is thinner and smaller, compare to the new inverter piping.

May i know which part u claim warranty?

I claim warranty for pensonic compressor.

The technician say pensonic replace the motor but want to charge me for installing the motor to the compressor???

I am not told regarding this as i thought it is under warranty.

Btw they want to charge rm250 for the installation of the motor and labour. Is thia normal.practice or they taking me as waterfish?

Thanks

Sometimes labour and transportation charges are not inclusive in warranties.
Best is to call pensonic HQ and clarify with them

Trying to contact them since yesterday.fyi the whole warranty took 7months!!!

Transport n service shud b fair but charge in dealing with warranty part, imo unfair.(motor spoilt, give replacement but not include the replace charge, they expect consumer to install the part to compressor themselves? Not right?)

This case to me Got warranty oso like no warranty.

Be4 claim warranty ask technician  check, say is no gas problem, proceed to refill gas n service, charge me rm120,then i left it open 1hour oso not cold.ask him back to check only he say is the hose spoilt, then check futher say is compressor spoilt.then he contact pensonic ppl come and check then take back the unit for warranty.

Like this 120+250= 370+Wait for 7months .

Opss... sorry for you... but how come you buy pensonic air-cond?
Usually pensonic goes for water kettle, toaster, mini-overn... they are not a reliable brand to begin with but they are cheaper and good for those not so expensive appliances ..

Guys... sorry if this is not related.
I heard of a air cond cleaning service which does not need to remove the indoor unit, the worker just tape the aircond area with plastic sheet and direct to pail. Then use high pressure streams to clean the fins.

Any body know the company name? Thanks.

the system itself cost too much for residential use.
maintenance will will cost a lot as well.
So not likely it'll be used for residential
*
Oh... really expensive ah? Cause all the office is using... thought that it will be quite OK.
Besides, watch TV, generally US house most of them using such system as well.
Anyway... will survey more about the price and share here.
If any forumer got information can share as well laugh.gif

Is your house middle of construction?

How many units you're going to install the indoor
*
Already completed, now considering renovation planning phase biggrin.gif
Generally required 10 to 12HP to cover the whole house. Around 8 units.
Let's say 1HP aircond is 1.5k, so should be about RM15k for all the aircond
Considering vrv because it will be great to install on the flat roof, so the house exterior can be nice laugh.gif
Research daikin have vrv system in this range
the problem is their indoor is customize, no idea how the process of mix and match

Now is to find if the price is OK hmm.gif

8 units still can consider split type. Vrv unless you have more than 20 units or if you're loaded you can consider.  The outdoor already cost about a low spec myvi. I've installed about 2 system in a bungalow. The quote is already 300, 000++

The mix and match would be depends on how many hp you need in each room or hall. Then only they will select the outdoor.

If you're interested in vrv system you can go for the mini vrv. Is just a compact model of vrv the outdoor also smaller than the usual vrv

If I'm not wrong daikin has this model for 12hp or maybe higher. You need to check with them.
*
Just get more information about vrv system. You are partially right
Based on the information given, the price does not cost about a low spec myvi, maybe you are referring to commercial type vrv, for a residential type,
a 9 to 12HP is about 10k for the outdoor unit, maybe this is your so call mini vrv.
For my specification, the quotation runs to about RM50k, or maybe slightly less.
But compare to normal air cond, the cost will only run 20k. so vrv system is till 30k more expensive

The good thing about a vrv system is 1 compressor can drive up to 10 units or more, and the piping length can be very long. Good for condo with not much ledge to place aircond
The system get economical if you need to cool large area, 2HP and above is the place they shine, anything less is expensive.
