my small master bed room using

Sharp 1.0hp Inverter Air Cond AHX9UED

however the room is not cold but chilled even at temperature below 20 celcius setting.

the indoor unit was installed quite high, around 10 feet above. and i googled indoor unit should install around 7.5 feet.

does the height affect the room cooling / aircond performance?

should I lower it down?

U meant not cold or chilled even with the lowest temperature setting?

Clear indicator that capacity of the ac unit is not suffice for the master room area. Time to upgrade to a higher hp unit.

Also the difference if height in between 7.5 feet and 10 feet shouldn't affect the room cooling if the capacity of the ac is sufficient since cold air travel downwards and hot air visa verse.

Personally installed a 2hp inverter unit for my master bedroom. No issues of heat even though the room is getting a lot of sun from noon to evening biggrin.gif .

yeah just chilled, once cover blanket it will be warm n hot.
the wind only can reach the far bed, near bed no wind. fan speed 2-3 (total 4 speed) thats y i suspect too high, near angle below no wind.

I'm running the fan speed at 1 most of the time biggrin.gif .

Ac is supposed to provide consistent cooling to the most of the room if not entirely.

With that being said if yours is dependent on the direction of the wind output to get the cold air then again your ac unit is insufficient capacity wise. There is nothing else u can go but to upgrade your ac. Re-position your ac unit to get wind/cold air may provide a temporary respite but may cause further issue(too cold later in the early morning due to cold air constantly blowing at your direction laugh.gif ).

Hi, I'm considering a 2.0 HP non inverter aircond for my living area.
At beginning i was aiming Daikin FTKV (made in thai) where i am using Daikin for 5 years and none of the unit (Made in Thai) give me any trouble. It cold, quiet and energy saving too. Since only left the flagship model is thai made, from the local made model its look just like old YORK (which very famous for its noise previously) .

Now i aiming a ME unit where the non inverter EER is a good as inverter series (i know cannot direct compare), the only concern is it still using R410A and i wonder if the cooling power is as good as other ME R32 model.

I personally does not prefer R410A where from what i observed from MHI, PANA, DAIKIN, GREE even thought the temp were set at 18, the air blown was not cold if compare with R22 aircond.

Should i get ME R410A since on paper spec is really promising... Or just other ME R32 series? Any thought?

There are at least 3 diff pipe size for the Gas pipe.
For example: see https://www.daikin.com.my/daikin_products/ftn-p-series/

You need to see if the pipe for 2hp is the same as the one for the 2.5 you wanna install.

Is there anyone using Panasonic CS-U10VKH 1.0HP Premium Inverter R32 Aero Series Air Conditioner? Can give some comment on it? Or anyone can recommend good 1.0 hp aircond for long hour usage. The room is small so 1.0hp will be suffice. Prefer cold air with the most energy saving if possible.

Hi, I notice 1.5hp and 2hp use same copper pipe size while 2.5hp use bigger pipe.

My was installed with piping for 2hp. I told my contractor who did the piping for me that I want to install 2.5hp. He said he can change the piping to 2.5hp...

I was told that he can change it without hacking. Is that possible that he can do it without hacking and conceal again? Need to replace a new copper pipe for 2.5hp rite?

Just found out this Daikin FTV-P series:
https://www.daikin.com.my/daikin_products/ftv-p-series/
surprisingly their 2.5hp and 2hp (for R32) using the same piping (12.7 instead of 15.88).

Well since you can reuse the 12.7 mm piping with that model, I'd say go for it, since it's already specced for that.

Yes, Thanks..
Finally my problem solved.
I think only Acson and Daikin use 12.7mm for 2.5hp. Other brand use 15.88mm.

Hi, if an aircon is not used often, does the gas go off? Let's say gas was added on August last year, people were using once in a while for 2 months. Then perhaps turned on once or twice in a month for the next 6 months.

How much gas goes off usually?

Already use gree lomo n, about 3year
My comment is value for money, fast cooling, the only downside for me is the model doesn have swing left&right use manual
Gonna service the unit after 3year using it ....
Just clean the airfilter every 2 week...

Anyone facing this Hitachi AC, temporary switch light kick in after switch on the AC?

I read online, it says it means AC requires filter cleaning which I did by removing the filter, clean and reinstall.

But after that the lights is still blinking. Gonna report to Hitachi tomorrow but was thinking if anyone encounter this before
