around rm120 , they open the unit and cleaned all things , plus they will refill new gas

Hi guys I plan to install hisense airconds to my condo unit meant for rental. As they are cheaper.

But I also worry about perception issue of the tenants.

Anyone care to comment ? It is worthwhile ?

Go for most common brand lah.

So it is indeed true that hisense will not last long and it's not just a perception issue ? It's real ?

For example once the PCB kaput, u might can't tahan the repair cost over than what you pay for slighly higher price

Based on the internet pricing :-

Hisense : Rm600.

Daikin : Rm 900.

That's a 300 difference. If there is a PCB kaput after 5 years for hisense and nothing kaput for daikin, maybe the PCB will cause Rm300. I guess it's still OK.

But you still never has the experience of tenants keep calling you ask for help Aircon serving, not longer cold of something else, that is future maintenace fee too

My house mitsubishi also every now and then not cold. Then the electrician just come and fix it. Most of the time he just change the capacitor. The capacitor is probably RM30 or something, he will bill me Rm200 or something. 

Cause fixed speed is controlling by fan/motor capacitor only.

If inverter don't have it issue.

That is why prefer you install Daikin cooling King, who ever stay also feel more class

Daikin cooling King the cheapest model will still be based on fan/motor capacitor. And then if condo, the electrician will probably charge more because they might be located outside ( and dangerous ) location.

So you might consider for Pana inverter basic model only

I have no experience using inverter air cond. Do you mean inverter model will have less trouble on the outdoor unit ?

So far mine all Aircon was inverter even serving or changed parts, never did before.
Now has 5-6 yrs old... I just did water jet spray on condenser coil fins to be clean out my self for dirty dust only.

The rest is forget it

I think my mitsubish also did not have problem in the first few years. But maybe after first capacitor failed, the replacement capacitor was not reliable. So it seem to fail more after first failure.

hi all,

i have been living in my current unit for more than 10 years now. the aircon piping & wiring is Concealed  from the time of the condo construction.

As for the split unit connection that has now been hidden behind the plaster conning. we rarely use the aircon much anyway but when we do its used like 8 hours straight. We have the same aircon from the time we moved in 10 years ago

My question would be

1) is it time to change the aircon? or what is the normal time frame where an aircon should be replaced?
2) can i use the same connections if i changed  the aircon? since its behind the conning i am concern i will have to remove the conning as well and that means more cost.

appreciate if someone can guide me here on this
