so from ur view which one better ya? xu13 or s13?  confused.gif

It's a personal preference actually, depends on what you need. The XU13-UKH however does cool down slightly faster than the S13-TKH due to the refrigerant used. The XU13-UKH I am using has replaced the S13-TKH which has been relocated to my office. I am not sure what is the price that they offer to yous in Peninsular Malaysia tho.

i found the price different bout 200-300 over S13-TKH.. The XU13-UKH can feel obviously cooling down?
*
Personally, yes I do feel that it cools down faster than the R410A model.

How do you guys keep your aircond fan setting?
Set to auto or just put at minimum/maximum lvl. If set to auto, how the fan will operate?
*
For me, I set it to Auto. The fan will increase or decrease speed depending on the temperature set, and the ambient room temperature.

How do u sleep with S13-TKH?

I tried the sleep mode with 25.5 celcius with 6hour setting. Wifey complaint too hot

I tried the iauto x with 25 celcius, it auto turn off after 6hour. Wifey complaint too hot

I tried the cool mode with 24 celcius the whole night. We both complaint our throat are dried n our morning pee is yellow
*
I use my XU-13UKH on Cool, 20 - 22 along with a humidifier, By right, iAUTO-X will not turn off automatically after 6 hours unless you have set a timer or some sort. I tried using iAUTO-X whole night, it never turned off.

how you know ko?

honestly speaking........i haven't seen a ko compressor..........even in aircon more than 10 years old......no ko.
*
Bos, seek your advise. I have a 14 year old General air conditioner, every time the compressor kicks in, my fuse box sure trip. It happened lately. What could be the issue? Thanks. I consulted aircon guy, they said compressor rosak. They advised me to retrofit a new compressor in as the current model I am using is already obsolete.

Mcb trip or rcd trip? Can mean different stuff here.

Also, trip after how long the compressor starts?

The usual suspect would be arcing or shorting of the wires connecting the indoor to the outdoor unit. Changing the wires usually solves the problem.

If you have the technical know how, can get a multi meter and check the wire continuity test between indoor and outdoor, between live and neutral, between live and ground.

Stay safe.
*
It's the RCD tripping, it trips immediately after the outdoor unit starts to run. Will get the techies to come over and check. Thanks for your feedback. Greatly appreciate.

Guys... My Panasonic inverter is giving out continuous hissing sound from the air cond vent after an hour or so of operation. After restarting the air cond the sound goes away.

Possible refrigerant leak..?
*
Hissing sound? Is yours with Nanoe-G? If so, it could be the generator's sound. Mine has it ocassionally. Try turning Nanoe-G off when it is on and see if the hissing sound still persists.

From my understanding R32 don't have non-inverter.
Not as much as 30%. I think max is 5% if same model but different refrigerant.
If install new AC no point to go for R22. Non-inverter go for R410a, inverter can straight go fo R32.
*
Daikin and Panasonic now have non-invert R32

It has already been out for quite a while. Am using it. This model is now replaced by CS-XU13VKH-1 but with same design and features name changed to X-Premium Inverter.

As mentioned, it is basically the same thing but a different model denomination to differentiate it from the Premium R32 Inverter which lacks the Nanoe-X

Can set weekly timer as well. One day up to 6 timer actions. As well as estimate power consumption usage.

All R32 gas and 1.0 HP

Daikin Dont know which model is newer for inverter and noninverter.
Inverter FTKG28TV1W
Inverter FTKG28QV1W/M
Noninverter FTV28QV1I/J
Nonverter FTV28PV1L/M

Mitsubishi
Noninverter MS-HN10VF
Inverter MSY-JP10VF

Panasonic I have no idea.
Inverter
Noninverter
Room Height 3m, Wide 4m, Length 4m. Rough estimation. I'm pretty bad at measurement.

Daily usage : 12H, 16H, 24H(usually weekend)

Its pretty hot during daytime from morning to evening especialy when the sun is hot. Direct sunlight. Someone called it the baking room.

Forgot night also hot sometimes.

Can suggest which the above is better and maybe energy eifficient(save electricity bill, current monthly bill about RM190). Or better option?

Also the SRP pricing for the model and installation price too.

Also any yearly maintenace by technician needed? If yes. roughly how much the cost per year?

Hi all, narrowing my choices to Panasonic R32 inverter Premium type, but am a bit confused by "UKH" and "VKH" series. They seem to be almost the same. e.g
comparison

Which is the newer series?
*
CS-XU--VKH is the newer model dubbed R32 X-Premium. UKH no longer in the product list in the brochure. Basically same features. Don't get confused with the CS-U--VKH dubbed the R32 Premium (no nanoe-X) only nanoe-G

Thanks a lot. I was looking high and low and couldn't find the answer. Then before I saw your answer I downloaded 2019/2020 products catalog from Panasonic website, and saw that UKH series was no more in the listing, i.e phased out.

One noticable difference between XU_UHK and XU_VKH (newer) series is that the later has the optional "Wireless LAN
Remote Control For Internet Connection", so that the user can control the air-cond via Internet using mobile phone/PC. I think it is a useful feature as the room can be cooled down before I reach home.

Thank also for the reminder. Yes, I know the Premium and X-Premium are two different series.
*
I am currently using XU13-UKH. Have also installed the optional network interface for it. It can be installed as long as the PCB board has the CN-CNT connector.

This feature is it? Seems applicable to nanoe-g model only. Mine just standard inverter...
I not sure if turning temperature to 30'c at Cool mode will trigger Fan only mode or not. Need to try out to see..
*
You can do 30 degrees celcius set the fan speed manually instead of auto.

Is R32 common in the market?
And for R32 which is a better choice? Panasonic or Daikin?

Hope to get some opinion from existing owners
Thanks a lot!

Both are actually good brands. Am personally been a Panasonic user since the MKH series. Currently using their R32 UKH Series. Both were purchased with an additional extended 4-year manufacturer warranty on top of the 1 year standard manufacturer warranty. Cooling wise, have had no issues with both of them. Only had an issue with the S13-TKH previously due to installer negligence, therefore changed to my current UKH R32.
