Hi there sifus. Im in the market for a new aircond. It is for my son's room. Room size is 8x15. Any recommended brand. My view is that 1 hp is more than enough and inverter is not needed as the aircond is only on during sleep

any method to know if  my piping is  G25 (0.51mm) or G23 (0.61mm) ?

current the house is with piping.
if i can see the expose pipe, measure the pipe wall thickness then will know is it 0.51mm or 0.61 mm correct?

Yup, the building mgmt confirmed cannot install inverter aircond.

Old school piping save cost, it is thinner and smaller, compare to the new inverter piping.

need some advice. We need to change our old york 1.5hp  cassete aircon (10 yrs old). options are pana 1.5 inverter, acson 1.5 inverter or midea 1.5 inverter. Midea price is quite cheap but dont know performance and maintenance. pana and acson heard before.

my other samsung inverter, also 1.5 hp.

now thinking between pana or acson, price difference is 200.

pblm is my room faces west, so by 7pm, the room at at 30-34 degrees.

Cheap is what you will regret even before the warranty expires. Dont believe, then my bet is that you will be calling for technical support warranty claim within 1 year of your Midea ac purchase
