I think most of the time, premium came with extra such as ionizer, better filter, and even AI cooling. Some like LG only has WiFi on premium model whereas others usually offers wifi on deluxe and premium model.

My brother is using XPU (he's a Panasonic fan). I'm surprised with his power consumption graph as well. He installed a 2.0HP to replace his aging 1.5HP and consume less than 3 kWh/day for 8 hours. Even my son room Samsung 1.0HP premium inverter consume roughly 1.5~1.8kWh/day for same amount of usage. Now interested to test out my LG unit which has a manual setting to set power usage at 100/80/60/40%.

Update:

Just noticed that with Panasonic XPU 1.5hp can reach RM1.7k on Lazada with Sen Heng after voucher and bonus. Installation probably another RM300. Dont forget to redeem tng from Panasonic as well, if not mistaken, around RM80.
*
Means that Panasonic XPU power consumption is good? Just too bad no chance to compare with PU model on the power consumption.

Price for 1.0hp i ask is about RM1.8k + installation about RM2k+. No confident on buying online as need installation, not sure the installer skill.

Thanks for the reminder on TnG, this is part of the reason I'm considering to install it this month, else plan to wait and see any new campaign for Save RM200 next year.

After used midea inverter switched from sharp 5 star inverter,  my bill surprisingly dropped RM20 per month/aircond. Same usage same timing daily.. Dont say prc aircond not good liao.. It is as good as japanese brand. And VERY CHEAP somemore.

Good to hear this. Not just compare the price, prefer to compare the monthly bill as well, only the durability not sure.

What happened to your old Sharp?

Guys, anyone using Panasonic XPU eco mode?
Is that have to activate it each time? I press once, after power off, next day ON, the eco mode is disappear back to normal mode.
For Off time, i switch off the power supply, when on again, need to manually 'cancel' the timer and set again, is that the way?

Thanks

My panasonic A/C is only 7-month old, and casing already starts to turn yellow-ish.

It's sad to see how A/C manufacturer are using cheap quality plastic. sad.gif

Which model you use?

Yes, compared to 20 years back Panasonic, now is really thin & light plastic.

X-Deluxe Inverter 1.0HP.
Now that you mentioned it, the plastic cover is indeed very thin, I need to be extra careful when open the case to clean the dust filter.
*
XPU series? I just installed too. Are you use the Eco mode? Need to press everyday? Not after set once stay for next day? In order to reach Eco mode, need to go through Powerful mode, the blower will spin high speed once.

My old Panasonic was 20 years back, no such function. Then my Sharp is press once forever there until change it.

How often you clean the filter? Is the blower clean or easily stuck the dust there?

1.3k after lazada bonus discount

spent another 750 on installation with proper techniques eg: vacuuming, testing etc
*
Wow. No wonder when I install that time request for vacuum, the installer say that with different price. Just didn't expect can be that high. That's half of your aircon price already.

Is it normal to have the airconditioner compressors NOT BOLTED to the metal brackets?

Would there be any issues screwing into the metal brackets?

Kinda scared it could easily topple and kill someone.

The left unit seems a bit narrow for compressor to blow air out.

Anyone still using the Daiso aircon filter now?

My Panasonic XPU just 2 months already can see the dust on the blower. So try to apply Daiso additional filter.
After apply, notice the aircon not that instant cool. Still cool, but not that powerful feel compare to without and take longer time.

Wonder any negative impact on the aircon for long term?

I'm using the same model too, weirdly the dust filter is clean, but blower is already full of dust after just 3 months.
*
Ya, i forgot to mentioned this, the filter and coil is very clean, but blower already start accumulate dust.

I used daiso filter more than 12 years? After got daiso then use for my Mitsubishi electric inverter ac
Panasonic not very cold type of ac. Their pre-filter mesh very fine, would be block the airflow. Remove the filter then apply daiso filter should be alright
*
Without the Daiso filter, the aircon is quite good. Just don't like the design, filter & coil is clean, but blower start to have lot of dust, and quite troublesome to clean, as I didn't take the blower out.

I need to see how much help with this Daiso filter and also any different for the power consumption, else i will remove it back to original. I like the feeling without extra filter, once blow can enjoy very cool air.

Not sure if I'm just pure bad luck or Panasonic is really bad.

My Panasonic X-Deluxe Inverter is so problematic.

In just 14 months, Panasonic technicians already came to my house 6 times to fix various problem, gas leak, faulty sensor, faulty blower etc. Thank god all this is covered by warranty.

Now my warranty has ended, suddenly there is a loud vibration coming from the left side of my indoor unit.  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif
*
Sound scary. I install this model too. Touchwood hopefully all will be fine. Just can notice quality wise no longer like those day.

I can see my indoor blower, 1 small part is like top layer pull out, like skin being cut and hang it there. I have no way to cut it, just leave it. The outdoor fan also can notice the fan edge cutting is very rough. Luckily not affect any performance.

Hopefully yours will not have vibration noise issue.

And do take note that the blower will get dusty very fast, dunno why Panasonic filter is so shitty.

His is newer model KU series. It stated Anti-dust cross flow fan, not sure how good is that. It launch the same month when I purchase XPU. Hope improve on it.

Notice another symptom, power cutoff yesterday night, my Panasonic won't auto restore back when power back.
