For inverter to save electricity, must use continuosly above 7hours? Or on-off-on-off / total usage must be above 7hours per day?

Cos we only turn on aircond 2pm-5pm.. Then 6.30pm-10.30pm. This way, save electric or not? Or must use straight 7hours?

I planned to install an aircond in my living hall. Need recommendation on:

- HP power
- inverter or non-inverter
- should I consider centralized-type?
- brand (got 2 room airconds now mitsubishi and samsung and mitsubishi is the best)
- roughly the estimated additional bills for a month

Here are the details:

- it will cover my living hall until my kitchen. It an open style house so nothing I can do about it. Size about 45'x18' I think (1 big tile is about 2 feet right?)
- there also stairs to 2nd floor.
- weekdays will use maybe 6pm-9pm. Weekends maybe twice 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm
- I got a very high ceiling living hall so the volume is more i guess.
- Windows not tinted.

Kiasu... Don't do that, too common for s'pore oldman do the same thing, cause they worry to pay for standby current.

End out to be replaced new PCB the cost has much higher than saving a little bit only

based on my floor plan (attached), thinking of installing 3 aircond in my 1+1 bedroom flat about 850sqft- 8 feet ceiling...

currently planning to install

1x daikin 1HP Non Inverter - FTN10PV1L - small room
1x panasonic 1HP Inverter - S10skh - master bedroom
1x daikin 1.5HP Non Inverter - FTN15PV1L - living room

The master bedroom's aircon will be turned on the longest hence the inverter.
Heard Panasonic is the preferred choice for inverter aircons.

Can anyone advise if this set up is reasonable? or should i reconsider choosing all daikin.

Just to update and some sharing. Current unit panasonic 1.5hp inverter nkh pcb burnt 2nd time. After inspection, in/out PCB burnt and parts replacement need MR 1K++, rather to change a new unit. My aircond technician immediately called to Panasonic service center to ask about this weird issue, then they mentioned to add another earth cable from blower to compressor there.

After installed a new unit, RKH model (SKH model not yet arrived at my area), add on another earth cable and swap phase but compressor still wont kick! blower auto shutdown and red led blinking like last time! Technician surprised to see this situation, he started to check up&down and everything seems normal including all the wiring, voltage and etc...

At the end, he used his own electricity cable to connect from compressor to blower then only everything able to work normally! So he replaced all the wiring and noticed the insulation is very dark color, conductor seems quite thin although it stated 3core 70 which seems like not local made cable. So he suspected the PCB burnt was caused by inferior wiring which degrade over the years.

Want to seek for advise at here.

My master room air cond. Panasonic non inverter, installed about 5 years.
Now weather very hot, now consider to install new air cond. for living hall.

I was thinking to move the Panasonic non inverter from master room to fix at living hall, then buy new Panasonic inverter for master room. because will use longer hour at master room compare with living hall.

Is this arrangement ok?

I need assistance. Our Panasonic was installed on 15 April.  It is now making louder blower noise.  What is possibly wrong?    Can it affect the cold output? 
It is Panasonic Css 18 Skh 2HP model.

Nope, NKH bought from senq in 2012. New one, RKH bought from nearby shop.
