the first and second time was under warranty. i called Panasonic and they arranged either contractor or their own people to come. the third time was after 2 years, the customer service just asked me if my unit is more than one year and i told her yes. then she said i have to call the contractors myself. she asked me where i live and gave numbers of contractors around that area. the best thing was, all the contractors whom i called told me their appointments are full! i have to wait more than 2 weeks! i had to call Panasonic again and release my anger at them and they gave me more numbers to call!!!  is this the kind of service u expect? at least Samsung will call for you and follow up for you even after your warranty is over.
i'm not the only one with this problem, there are other forummers who went through the same thing as me. pray hard that your Panasonic aircond doesn't give u problem.

OK. I have old Panasonic Air conditioner non-inverter type used more than 20 years.

I feel like Samsung new triangle design is not good as expected. Noise after installed.

You called Panasonic via Hotline?

Sorry to hear this kind of issue.

yes, their customer service hotline. the Panasonic airconds from year 2000 when they introduced the ionizer feature, that's when their qc went downhill. the old models esp under National brand were solid
*
Now. They introduce NANOE-G.

Yah, I have 1HP Samsung triangle inverter unit. Not that cold even though the temperature setting is 23C, as for York Inverter, 25C is good enough  whistling.gif . The outdoor unit noise a bit higher compared to my York unit (adjacent room).
*
Did the Samsung Triangle Inverter make such noise?

You are using York Inverter or Non-Inverter type?

Which temperature on Samsung Air conditioner give normal cold air?

thanks for the info ... never had a portable aircond , surely not for me .. prefer split unit aircond thumbsup.gif
*
Hi, you can go for portable aircond if your room doesn't have space to put air conditioner.

One customer complained is not the air conditioner problem.

DON'T BUY FROM LAZADA. WARRANTY UNABLE TO CLAIM, THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Pay a visit to the shop and refer some tips from the salesman.

my last Panasonic aircond is with nanoe G loh. the pcb spoilt within 1 month of installation. nanoe led light didn't light up. when open up, the technician showed me the pcb is rusty.  shakehead.gif
*
After 1 month installed then kong?

I think it could be package problem.

We are using Inverter air conditioner with ECONAVI and NANOE-G.

yes, mine is non inverter premium model with econavi and nanoe G function. u can imagine my frustration when within the first month, already so many issues with the aircond. and after 4 years it gave me problem again. what's past is past. i wont want to live through the nightmare again. i will only consider Panasonic for kitchen appliances.
*
OK. Have you decided which brand to choose for replacing air conditioner?

my preferred brands are Mitsubishi, Toshiba/Carrier. Unfortunately, Toshiba/Carrier is not popular with dealers here.
*
Toshiba and Carrier are not good.

You can consider York, Mitsubishi, LG and Hitachi.

York, Daikin and Acson are the same company.

York and Daikin have new models. Both have different design.

Acson old design but have wallpaper design.

In the Malaysia market, York today has no relationship to Daikin today.

Stop spreading inaccurate bull.

i have 4 units of Toshiba, 2 Mitsubishi, 2 Panasonic, 2 Sharp, 2 Trane, 1 York (latest by johnson controls) , 2 Acson, 1 Hitachi.
I can't vouch for Trane or Sharp as these were installed by developers at my condo units and i do not know how much my tenants use them but so far no complains from them after more than 2 years.
as for the Toshibas, combined together , the Toshibas have the longest working hours and none have given me any single problem for the last 10 years. don't even have to pump gas. Mitsubishi also no problem. Panasonic countless of problem even have to go the customer service office to buy replacement part for the flap. Hitachi broke down once. the acson didn't breakdown but only the compressors are damn noisy and making booming and clanking noise.
i guess i don't have luck with panasonic. the Daikin models, if they are those models with technology inherited from OYL days, they're no good.
York is no longer under Daikin. it has been sold to Johnson Controls and now made in China. but i must say, i'm impresed with the quiet compressor.

The Samsung indoor unit not that noisy. Similar with my York (inverter) and Panasonic (inverter). It's outdoor unit is noisier that the other two.

All my AC is inverter unit. Ditch out non inverter 3 years ago. Significant drop in energy usage, a lot less to pay to TNB  thumbup.gif .  3 unit 1hp long working hours (9hrs min daily), paying RM280-RM300 only to TNB  whistling.gif .

Samsung unit, I have to set to 22C... that's equivalent to 25C on my York and Panasonic. Maybe the thermometer calibration is wrong.

Energy expenditure all unit are similar (I've tested it using power meter like this) About 250W to 900W.  thumbup.gif  Depends on the cooling load.

This is due to improper installation by the technician who are not professional on installing it.
