Hi experts... i wanna ask if for aircond... should we consider buying extended warranty? For tv as example i am very sure i will buy but for aircond, touch wood but i feel the risk of aircond spoil will be less... but then again i have been using very old units and not sure if nowadays the build quality is getting worse...

QUOTE(Keatsan @ Jul 19 2022, 10:34 PM)
Any thoughts for Mitsubishi user JS inverter series?
2 years indoor + 7 years outdoor warranty

1 HP - MSY-JS10VF - RM1.5k
1.5 HP - MSY-JS13VF - RM1.7k

Seems like these model pricing quite reasonable

Hence I'm also comparing to either get multi split or individual split. My requirements would be 2x 1HP INV and 1x 1.5HP INV.

For instance, I saw Daikin MULTI SPLIT Inverter MKC series(R32) MKC50RVM that can accomodate 2 X 1HP INV + 1 X 1.5HP INV.
RM4099.

Panasonic pricing quite a huge jump.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Stay in condo unit?
In MY not worth to install multi system.
One unit spoil or leak , all room cannot used.
Mitsubishi electric is the best, try to get few step can access to blower for own cleaning type.

Ah okay. The model listed is probably the ideal ones.
Mitsubishi Electric models are better than Mitsubishi Industry series

I hate to admit this, but from experience it is true. Panasonic skew towards power savings so it is never as cold as Daikin, even when I set the setting to max on remote..its still hesitant to cool. Like, I set max fan, 17C the air con is like "you sure you want so cold meh? eh it use a lot electricity, come I slow down a bit save some energy". I am like.. eh hello, I want max cooling you give me max cooling la.

Limpeh using 2HP inverter Pana in bedroom. Based on measurement of room size & height actually 1.5HP enough. Now 2HP inverter Pana, just ngam ngam only.

Midea cheap and easy to spoil and parts? In 2015 I got MSN-09CRDN1 inverter models, 3 units used heavily because all in bedroom, until today no issues.. except workmanship not good the thing leak gas for 1 unit. Not the a/c's fault.

But best bang for the buck, HISENSE. If you want the most basic non-inverter aircon, limpeh will recommend Hisense over any Pana and any Daikin. The Japanese very expensive.

EDIT: Limpeh got Daikin, York (old cooling king good, current China mari Johnson control is rubbish), Hisense, Midea, Mitsu Electric, Pana -- love hate relationship with Pana.

Basically choosing the bigger outdoor size condenser, inside have double layers of cooling coils, large amount of coils better heats exchange, indoor can feel much better cooling down the room.
So after many years already, I am unsure the new R32 still have an issue or not.

Quite agree with you
For personal choice, I like it for room since I'm a natural air person (if weather is kind) and Pana provides a breezing feel rather than freezing feel.

For living hall, I would probably go for Daikin.
So far I had used Mitsu Electric and would say they are my number1 in term of best of both world (cooling + breezing) but obviously has a more complex setup (many sensors) vs the rest, and spare parts on the high side.

I have to agree that for latest Panasonic models the cooling effect is not as cold as Daikin as I compare to my house with non-inverter panasonic 2hp. High fan speed and temperature even at 20-22, the coldness still cannot match Daikin at same configurations. Daikin really makes you chilly cold where I think it is more suitable for large spaces living hall as it give a more consistent cooling vs Panasonic. I do have one Sharp 1hp for my working room where I feel the cooling is much faster than Panasonic inverter series. The temperature can go very cold and breezy unlike Daikin freezingly cold.

Thus, in terms of cooling I would rate [Daikin> Sharp > Panasonic] but in terms of BTU for 2hp above, Panasonic is slightly higher on paper.
