Today do thorough DIY clean-up for ODU by removing front cover and fan blade, spray water from inside to outside, and uses another bottle of DIY auto aircond cleaner. Indoor unit also do thorough cleanup and brushing...

If still same issue then will call warranty center liao.

You have done an amazing job to clean your indoor units so clean.
How did you do it?
What about the blower? I think it accumulated lots of dusts too.

Actually indoor unit I always did annual cleaning before CNY, using sprayer mixed with car wash shampoo, spray and use toothbrush to scrub it, then spray clear water again and scrub, at the same time will spray the roller fan there as well but didn't open up that console. So it was quite clean before today's job also.

Have them. I feel like unless the aircond is directly above you, the wind free stuff is just gimmick. Can just aim the louvre up high for a gentle cooling.

My aircond is still new, so never serviced before still. Have a feeling 3rd party servicemen will bugger it.

The 2hp ODU gets loud when comparing to other 1hp airconds I have.

for indoor  i have use  wd40 AC cleaner,  and  another  in a  can  /  both a can spray type.  i like the WD better but bit expensive.

for ODU  i use kleenso AC cleaner  .  very good  cleaning  .  12 rm a  spray bottle .  it say germany  formulation .
good for  6  AC ODU  wash per bottle.
its a alkaline liquid.
*
Bro, the Kleenso I think is too strong, when I spray can feel the mist touch my skin and little pain. Then I see discolouration on the bottom roof part beneath the ODU after wash.

I think it too strong might attack the fins, only can use once or twice per AC lifetime...

I have a sharp AHXP10YMD that's less than a month old. Last used around hari raya.

Switched it on today for more than 10 minutes, yet the blown air was just warm. Saw the ODU intermittently came on and off.

Ran diagnostics, and it returned a 17-0. Sharp's website stated it as "serial open circuit."

Anybody here know what that could mean?

Did anyone know how to solve the problem?

Using Daikin FTKU, works fine with normal remote switch, but realized when connected to internet, couldn't remote power on / off with the Go Daikin apps. Got another 2 daikin unit on same wifi, working fine. Network coverage is fine, done speed test.

If there's some way to settle it then prefer not to ask for service.

Not using that much. And I feel inverter Aircon cool very slowly. Maybe this is the reason it saves electricity. And summor I feel inverter easier to spoil. Already kena, need to change electrical board, which is not cheap. These days electronics does not last long. Fancy tech just easy to spoil.

Moving forward, I will just stick to normal Aircon. Reliable and cool fast. And I always set temp at 25, which is already very cold for normal Aircon. Inverter need to set 20 or below to feel cool.

At some point, I feel inverter for Aircon is not worth, since not using constantly. But for fridge, inverter is ok.

interesting

in your situation my guess is your inverter AC / need set 20 ....... need cleaning service . nod.gif something is wrong.
or you have undersize the invertor AC hp.

cooling performance between inv /non inv AC should be about the same . cos the rated BTU is about same .

Aircons are new one. Used many different brands in different houses and found that inverter AC are generally slower to cool. Daikin, pana, york all the same.

And the AC hp is 1.5 and above. So no issue with underpower/undersize. No issue with cleaning and maintenance also. All new and tiptop condition.

Even the old normal non-inverter AC is better than the new Inverter AC

1hp non-inverter can perform better than 1.5hp inverter hmm.gif

That's way too expensive. I paid RM250 including removal of the old A/C and installing a new one.
