Request your developer for your a/c layout, usually written spec of the copper piping in the drawing. If not then manually measure using vernier caliper sweat.gif

Normally the developer will provide the piping based on the worst case scenario, meaning the pipe can be used for both inverter & non-inverter. Yes, the AC installer will be able to check & confirm.

My master bedroom is 18' x 17' ~ 306 sqft (ceiling is 10.5' tall)

So last year actually I ordered the 2.5 HP Daikin FCF inverter cassette... but until now stocks haven't arrive la. So their distributor offered me 3HP unit instead without extra charges. Should I go for it? I mean pros is that it can cool faster on hot days, and well it likely will take up more power (less efficient) since I usually set like 24C instead of 20C.

Can anyone recommend a 1.5hp aircond for terrace house? For room usage, planning for an inverter aircond as it save electricity

Price diff will be few hundreds and your supplier didnt quote you 3hp for 2.5hp earlier ? 3hp also invertor ? If he is 'generous', take.

Hi all, may I know if these air condition models are ok/good to proceed?

1. Daikin FTKF25A 1.0HP inverter (master)
2. Daikin FTV50P 2.0HP non-inverter (living room)
3. Daikin FTV28P 1.0HP non-inverter (guest)

Cheers!

Hi I measured the copper piping given by my developer are 12.7mm.. does it mean i can only install those aircond that fit 12.7mm? Most of them are 2hp and above... Can i install a 1hp 9++mm at the 12.7mm existing piping?

I doubt the developer will give 2hp piping for all. The safest is to confirm with the developer.

Cannot use 2hp piping for 1hp.

I have used my original concealed 1.5hp piping for 1hp AC. In my opinion, not adviseable as performance drop. I did it because I didnt want to hack the wall and the AC is seldom use.

There is a different. The tech did a reducer connection for the compressor.
