2hp inverter. Its more comfortable.
1.5hp only suitable for very small living room like old flat design. Coz 1.5 is actually 1.2 or 1.3hp in reality if u see the btu vs 1.0

I dont think our current market ac are that smart level yet.

Set temp to 24/25 and fan to auto mode.

Something like this can help with making a schedule of the times and temperatures you need.

Hi, I am looking for 1.5hp inverter 5 star ac for a small room but with very high ceiling.

hence i have shortlisted this model:

Anyone uses this model before or any other model recommendation?


Also, I would like to ask, the existing aircond point is too high, is it possible to lower it ? and by doing so, probably need to add the drainage pump, to pump the waste water back to the original pipe which on the above.

Having it high is more effective cooling..hot air rises..cold air sinks. Plus your drain pipe can slope very nicely so as NOT to collect water or slow water movement. This luxury of high ceiling and high mounting eliminate a lot of aircon drain clogged with algae jelly issue.

If is a small room, I suggest you reposition the piping + wiring lower and do a false ceiling b4 instaling the ac. After that, a 1hp will suffice. If the false ceiling is not possible, repositioning is important.

When ac position is too high, it will be troublesome to do simple diy like cleaning the filters and instead have to call for service.

Adding a pump is not feasible as there will not be enough water for the pump to work and it will get burnt unless you have a collection pail and do it once a day. Having said that, you dont need a pump and can just manually throw the water away.

I'm currently looking to replace a 1hp air cond for a small room. Trying to utilised the save 3.0 rebate.

I've been looking at
1) Daikin FTKF 1.0hp inverter
2) Sharp AHXP10YMD 1.0hp inverter model.

Can hardly find much review on sharp air cond.

Wondering if anyone who's currently using either one of the model can share their experience with their unit.

Open to others recommendation as well as I'm really unfamiliar with air cond.

I'd say if the difference in price is not much, then just go daikin.
I've used sharp before. Parts may be hard to come by if there are any issue.

Thanks for your input. Haha. I actually went and survey and ask some shop, 1 suggested me mitsubishi Mr. Slim and get a seperate plasma purifier. They told me the plasma purifying function integrated in the air cond is very weak, if really want then should get a stand alone air purifier for better result. And mitsubishi is more long lasting, faster cooling and quiet compare to daikin.

Do you happen to know if Mit > Daikin? Price also more less the same for 1hp.

an ac is an ac to me. any additional function is secondary. I base my ac on price > serviceability > performance > anything else.

I've also used mitsubishi before, but have no idea what model. mostly very old mitsubishi heavy industries ones. cant comment.

Air purifier is ALL about the filters. If one compare the filters for both it is very obvious that the salesman advise is a good one.

finally got my pana x-premium installed, when i use iAUTO-X, the air cond like blasting at full power all the time and quite noisy, is it normal?

i thought it will automatic adjust the power....

iAUTO-X should be the "powerful" mode where the aircond redline to get you fast to the desired temperature... I think can last for 2 hours the most then revert back to normal.

The auto function works similar to an auto car going uphill, downhill or level road. It will adjust when it sense the right set temperature.

I think the mode you looking for should be the auto fan speed is it?

nope, the autox full power the aircond and the sound very loud, and i check it didnt stop automatic at all, i thought it will adjust the aircond power depends on temp.
