I actually changed the swing actuator twice. The second one much better but still got the swing sound.

Actually the random tak tak sound from the internal parts of the indoor unit is the killer in terms of noise
*
Hmm maybe the motor for flapper is too strong it actually goes beyond the available space thats why its skipping or flap clashing.

Then again I usually set the flap position (lock it to blow higher so not so cold) for my room aircon so I didn't realise this issue smile.gif

You can refer to this tak sound, check out about 1min 35 seconds. Try to maximize the volume to hear clearer. As you can see in this video, I didn't turn on the swing, so the sound is from internal part of the IDU

Any good 1.5hp inverter model recommended by sifu here?

I am contemplating between 2.

Gree LOMO I 1.5hp, with delivery and installation is RM1,599
https://shopee.com.my/(KL)-Gree-1HP-1.5HP-2...2237.2310096541

and

MSXS Midea 1.5hp, with delivery and installation is RM1,460
https://shopee.com.my/product/52358338/1734327075

Which one should I go for? Or is there better recommendation?

Seems like the sound from the coil itself.
Can happen just moments after the compressor kicks on. Caused by thermal contraction and flow of refrigerant. Usually known as a cracking sound.

In my case, the sound happened after compressor turn off especially if air cond set to Auto mode (meaning alternating between cooling and fan mode). Later on, the situation gets worse that it also happened in cooling mode as well.

Is this cracking sound common in other air conditioner? I can understand if it happens once a while but constantly through out the night is very disturbing for sleeping. Anything can do to remove/reduce this cracking sound?

Cracking sound can happen during a very hot day esp for terrace houses. It should only happen initially when the room starts to cool down and should stop thereafter.

If this happen often, the casing cover may not 'sit' correctly. Try to insert styrofoam to see it helps.

as far as i understand, auto mode is just automatically adjust the indoor unit fan speed automatically according to how much difference the room temperature and the set temperature.
mode of aircond dont matter much or at all as long as it is a mode that cools the air.

not much can do to reduce the sound........as the sound is created when there is a huge temperature difference between the coil temperature and the refrigerant temperature.

i would recommend an inverter aircond (soft start of the compressor and fine control of compressor speed to prevent start stop compressor) and improve the insulation of the cooling space to prevent cold air loss.

Hey guys, need your help.
My Electrolux Air Conditioner displaying H3 error code.
Meaning compressor faulty? Or compressor overheat?
How to solve this?
Just happened at midnight and I will check again later. According to New MCO 3.0 SOP, is technician allow to fix and repair air conditioner at customer's house?

Error code: H3
Error name: Protect against compressor overload

Could be the run capacitor died. Its a quick fix if you can access the ODU safely..just open up it will be like a big beer can or two, and buy similar uF one online. Important: familiarise urself with capacitor handling procedure i.e. Discharge old one before touching.

SOP refer https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/5148398
Some highrise MO need to see paperwork for recent virus testing.
Although the test is pretty pointless (morning go test, afternoon infected, night result negative) as its historical and not realtime.

Off the electric power and then turn it on again.

If the aircon can blow out cold air, off the aircon and then use a hose and spray water at the outdoor unit from the coil side, not the fan side. Spray the coils until water that exits the compressor run clean.

Good luck.

This should solve it.

A dirty condenser coil is a usual suspect also. Where the dirty coil would cause increase in temperature and hence pressure due to lack of airflow to cool the refrigerant.

This increases the load on the compressor and hence increased current usage, possibly beyond the manufacturer limit which trips the overload mechanism.

When was the last date you did a service for the ac? In between did you clean the air filter ?

Anyhow, is time to call the technician. Refer to your jmb for the sop.

Hello, thank you for the quick response. Is it expensive to replace the part?
The air conditioner is around 5 years now. I remembered around 2016 fix in the shoplot.
We fix in the shoplot then later transfer air conditioner to my sister's room.
Repair or replace air conditioner in this scenario? Is this error code H3 very common or rarely happens?

Thank you for the quick response as well.
Last midnight happened this, then no cold air coming out.
Spray the water to left or right side of the ODU?
If right side not possible as the space is very narrow and it is blocked by the wall.
Just tried switching on, H3 error code still there with the operation light blinking.
I told my sister to switch the main power and check again later at 12pm.

Last service date was 23rd April 2021. Normal service like without dismantle the whole unit down.
Just take out parts one by one. Clean the filter, indoor unit cover, swing blade. I guess the fan didn't clean.
I will check with my condominium management and the technician afterwards.

Did you unplug the electricity of the aircon before switch on?

I tried many times still same. I switch off then wait for 30 minutes then power on via remote control.
First few minutes like normal then after a while H3 appears and cooling light symbol blinking.

maybe its your ODU fan not turning/rosak; initially cold air until it overheats due to fan not turning, then safety cuts off

Make sure ODU fins are clean and clear..u can use a hose to the coils (back of AC no fan easier) wash it out. Its ODU, it can take the washing.

Sounds like run cap about 20 to 30 bux la can get a Daikin branded one online. But need to see uF rating of d old one.. buy the same uF.

Thank you for the advice and suggestion sifu.
What if washing from the back does not help to solve the H3?
Could the compressor or capacitor problem?
