I google'd, I bing'ed, but I can't find this game being discussed at all in Lowyat Forum!
Kinda unimaginable...or am I blind?

It's a pretty good F2P game.

The graphic is nice, but can't beat Blade & Soul.

tried it for one hour, nice graphics but the animations are really choppy. if i didnt play BnS before, this game might be fun but BnS totally spoiled the game for me.

Interesting that BnS is mentioned twice...
Is BnS the main reason this game is not played? They are 2 very different game to me.

BnS has MUCH better combat & combo system, and somewhat better graphic (not too far away).

But Revelation has flight and much more "themed parks" and surrounding game systems.
Example: "Playground" & "Black/Green Emperor Trial" system where almost no combat prowess is tested, it's all about jumping, puzzle solving, positioning and etc. There's also fishing competition, guild-base building (an instanced map for your guild, where you can build buildings and recruit NPC to work for your guild), random zone event, etc etc etc.

Even combat-wise, I find the skill-upgrading system not bad. Some upgrade can drastically change the behavior of your skill...I know BnS has such skills too. Maybe I am biased because I am playing 流光. It's a class which can switch between DPS and Healing mode anytime, and under different mode, the skills behave differently, without even skill upgrade...and some skill upgrade will further change the skill properties drastically, example: make you able to move while casting the spell.

The main story and side quests have some quite touching stories too.

BnS is for more combat-centric players, while Revelation is more all-rounded ones, plus fly-everywhere, more like Aion.

I played it for about a week, so far really enjoying it, and it seems that the developer is really listening to players and improving the game. The game engine itself are quite polished, there's no lag or crash-to-desktop.

Well, anyway, not that I am trying to promote it, just kinda surprised this game doesn't even mentioned at all over here.

Blade and Soul combat is more smooth and silk. Basically, I won't say Revelation is a clone of BnS, but they took the ideas from BnS, a little here and there. Their flying system is definitely better than BnS though, that's what attracted me. I'll give it a try regardless.

It's very hard for me to find any kind of similarity, because the skill system of Revelation is very fundamental.

BnS has really good skill combo system, where:
Skill A -> Skill B = Effect X
but
Skill A -> Skill C = Effect Y

BnS also has very good status effect system, which enables interactions between classes.
Example:
Class A and Class B both can stun, and Class A and B both has some skills that can be used when target is stunned, and so on.

Revelation has 0 such skill. ZERO.
It's combat system is MUCH inferior than BnS, that's why in my previous post I say BnS has MUCH better one...if Revelation copied anything at all, I can't find it; and one can always argue BnS also copied a little here and there from earlier games smile.gif
Nowadays, every MMO is the shadow of another.

I'm just saying the combat system in Revelation lose out a great deal compare with BnS, the combat system there isn't as smooth as it's suppose to be, feel a bit choppy from what I've seen. The animation of the moves when they uses skills are not as smooth as well. But I'll give the rest of it a credit. The graphics are beautiful, the flying system is awesome.
