I have an issue with my S Spec Vios year 2008.
Was driving and revving more than usual just now, suddenly my air cond stops having cold air, something like the compressor is gone, but fan speed maintains. Got a shock and quickly turn off the air cond and restart. The cold air came back and function like usual. Puzzles me, what is happening? A/C clutch?

Magnetic clutch saying bye bye to you with its last breath.

Just wait for that one day when you off your air cond and turn back on and cold air never came back.

It is very normal if you rev crazily. Tip: next time turn off your aircon temporary when you 6000rpm so often, turn it on when you had accelerate enough and back to cruising rpm.

Just that 1 single time bro... working night day before..So drove a bit a tad agressive uphill..does that mean it was already dying and revving just exposed it or bit was that revving that spoils it.. what shall I do now...wait for it to break down before changing? Or service air cond now owat..coz now functioning well pulak

Rev definitely kills it. Or rather.. damages it. The engagement/disengagement of that clutch will introduce some damage. The higher rpm the higher the damage.

Service aircon will just usually change the oil & gas and not touching anything else much (maybe washing the cooling coil and changing the dryer that is, some even take out the blower to wash). Magnetic clutch is just replaced when totally dead.

I rev occasionally but there is one month that I rev so often that... in that month my magnetic clutch failed totally. The behavior is the same, hot air, turn off and on, then cold air back. Then it is normal for some short while, I continue rev habit and same behavior repeat. Until one rev that the aircon never cold air anymore (no more 'tak' sound for that compressor engagement).

I believe the a/c was never off at all when I rev. Otherwise I will be feeling hot air in an instant.
