There are a few version of clones out there. I have the authentic version and a clone (one of the best quality/finishing after compare with others).
In fact, I don't dare to dismantle them together because afraid I may mix up the original and the clone part. Yes, the clone version I have was really that good.
In the beginning when I'm not using temperature control mods, I found both are the same and work perfectly.
But both have problem when I tried using nickel wire and DNA40 mod. Then the original manufacturer came out with the gold plated spring replacement. It work on the original but when I put the gold plated spring in the clone, it still won't work with nickel wire/clone.

The above is my experience. Maybe some other clones will work with temp control mod.
