hi gurlnextdoor,

I got no idea about the place where you should sent your kid for taekwondo class~ but i do have some advice for you too . At this young age , you should not let your kids to join this kind of activity ..

By the way , i am a taekwondo learner too . . in between so much martial art i think taekwondo will be the most basic sad.gif sad.gif .. IF seriously want to learn self defense , maybe should give a try for your kids to learn JUDO or SILAT or maybe karate ^^

You are right, he's quite young.
We've decided to wait till he's abit older and join the classes at school.

I'm more familiar with taekwondo as my brother learnt it, but when we were based in another town.

Thank you for all the replies.

Nowadays most of the school are engaging external Taekwondo center to conduct lesson within school premises. No longer by any school teacher that happen to have a black belt like old days. And kids enjoy it as they having the lesson with their schoolmates, the bond is there.

Learning is definitely in place. As they are required to go for grading. School kids will work hard for it, as they want to stay on par with their peer (where most of them start learning together). No fooling around during lesson.

And of coz still have to check on the size of the class. My son's having 1 master, but there are always a teenagers (his black belt students) join in to help out with the class. Need to check how much committed the master in training the students too, regardless is in school or in the center.
