It only works when the mirror is clean.  Dust or oil will reduce the hydrophilic properties.
*
My mirror is always clean. Mine very blur especially heavy rain. Drizzling still can see as there are water dropletsm but heavy rain the mirror is like car paint without wax on

Very well balance. Engine output is impressive and at the same time comfort and handling is better than all the rest D segment. FC should around the same. Maybe Mazda 6 is better in handling but I won't know coz never test drive before. However the only downside i find in this car is only the boot size. If they can improve the gearbox like VW DSG, the car will become a monster.
*
Nothing to complain for this car for the price paid. Only some deceiving part by toyota that disappoint me after purchasing the car. Other than that, fc i get around 700km for 55ltr of fuel which i think is not bad.

like listening multi formats like mp3 or wav or flac??
there seems to be limited info about it

what about the GPS?? is it hard to update maps?
*
Gps map cannot be self updated. Have to pay to get updated map at toyota SC. As for the pendrive ive only used 16gb no problem but all in mp3 format

The driver seat rattling is making me mad.
*
Mine is when u get the lumbar support fully inflated, there would be squeeky noises. When its deflated, it is alright. The left door card sometimes would rattle when going on uneven road. Like there are some bits of broken plastic shaking inside

Im not sure any of you experiencing this. But if after turning off the engine, perhaps like after a minute has lapsed, you could hear the brake switching turning on and off with some vacuum sound. Another thing, I would like to ask anybody has rattling sounds coming from front left passenger side?

It's normal as the hybrid system are on standby . So u might hear sound.

Rattling get sod on dashboard mostlydia cause by tiny item . Try clear entire thing out and gv a try. Sometime a clip is the cause
*
I've cleared everything out from the the drawer as well as centre armrest. Yet still rattling. Where r the normal rattling source?

so far here are the rattling sound detected and solved...DIY though.....SC couldn't solve my problem fully

knee airbag on driver side rattles on semi rough roads at around 20kmh to 30kmh speed. quite annoying and appears almost all the time

found root cause:
1. the knee airbag front plastic cover is not a perfect fit with some loose gaps.
2. some of the metal frame esp with nuts and bolts are not tighten up (though it is not loose)
3. vibration from the thin metal frame

what SC did: tighten up all the nuts, rechecked the cables and used some cable tie to secure the cables....reduced some rattling but not entirely

what I did: had some left overs of Dynamat sound proofing material (the ones with bitumen and aluminium sheet for vibration grounding).
sticked some sound proofing material on the thin metal bars below the steering, the back knee airbag frame (wont effect the airbag).
added a 8mm insuflex on the thin metal to absorb any further vibration

done...perfectly no rattling sound..tested few days on few roads near my house where the road is not even and quite rough surface. various speeds tested...so far ok

2 more minor defects detected

rear bumper left side just below the tail lamp, the clip doesn't clip properly resulting in minor bumper alignment.

driver seat lumbar support can feel the lumbar mechanism protruding

trying to find time to get to SC to have both defects fixed

other than that, no seat rattling issue and other stuffs for now

just done first tank and now on second tank....did 770km on 52liters...that's 14.8km/liter....which is quite good...no particular driving pattern...just start car and drive per normal with occasional variable speeds
had couple of times traffic jam in between

the warning light start to pop up when i still have 15 liters of petrol....its like when i finished first 3 quarters of the tank, the low fuel light came out....

GPS interface not very good and troublesome....i still prefer waze....also because of traffic updates and smart routes

the absorbers are too soft for me....full load passengers, middle section car scratch some bumps.....

after first service....so far so good....SC did alignment and balancing for me though i was sceptical in the first place...but it turned out fine...they did a 32PSI pressure for 4 tyres....felt it was abit too soft....had pump it back to 36 psi front and 34psi rear

I am experiencing some rattling issues whenever the road surface im travelling on is slightly rougher. The rattling sometimes is loud even when the radio is on and sometimes not noticable even with the radio off.
As for the lumbar support, i am too having the squeeky noise when lumbar is fully inflated.

That is quite true for the lumbar supporr

When i sit on the seat no problme i am only 49kg

But when my husband 70kg sat on it got some squeaking noise

I think have to do with weight
*
Not the weight i believe. Im only 54kg. Sometimes have sometimes dont. Must hit a certain angle only it squeeks. And only happens when the car is park out under the sun for a long time. When the cabin is cool nothing.

I have the similar issue with the brake. Sometimes it is very loud.
*
What kinda brake noise? I used to experience quiet rattle free drive. Now on occassion the rattle coming from front left door card is driving me nuts especially on rough surface.

2nd time visit for my warranty defects.....

last Friday they resolved my rear left bumper issue....that was a quick fix....so far after 1 week the bumper didn't pop up....i think they refitted the clip hence should be ok

they couldn't find what the root cause was for my driver seat lumbar rattling problem
initially they said the driver seat was not tighten properly and they tighten up the seat....still the same problem when I left the SC...continued to drive for the entire week
confirmed lumbar support module is rattling....hopefully they can open up the seat to check and tighten up.
*
Regarding the bumper issue what is it about? Ya like i've said earlier the lumbar support when fully inflated does squeek when moving around. Hopefully u have a solution to share

Hi there, anyone got problem with rattling "back view mirror?" .. Unfortunately mine just happen, 3K mileage and it came. When got it still  don't have...
*
Rattling rear view mirror? I have rattling noise coming from front left passenger door card if my ears locate them correctly. Had a chance to sit at the back when my cousin wanted to test drive. Then i noticed behind the rear parcel shelf also rattling. So far i've only come across rattling coming from poorly fitted roof. How u identify is the rear view mirror emitting the sound?

U guys have brake issues as well?
*
How do i join the club. My rattling initially thinking it come from front passenger door card was from the immobiliser sensors housing. Only found out today while driving my hand itchy just tap the housing and it felt flimsy. Then i held the housing and walla the sound just disappear. Will ask the sc to reassemble the housing. Now the rear parcel shelf seems to be loose whenever i go over potholes got knocking sound.
