Syabas Will Not Accept Auto-Billing Payment Via Credit Cards

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (SYABAS) will no longer accept payment for water bills by auto-billing via five credit card banking agents from Sept 1.

"The five banking agents are CIMB Bank Berhad, UOB Bank, Citibank, Maybank Berhad and RHB Bank Berhad," SYABAS Corporate Affairs Division executive director Priscilla Alfred said in a statement here today.

However, she said the consumers concerned could still pay the water bills by cash or cheques via various channels.

They include SYABAS' One Stop Counter Service Centres (OSCS) for the districts of Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Klang, Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Sepang.

Operating hours for the OSCS are from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

In addition, Priscilla said, payments may also be made to official collection agencies such as HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad, Public Bank Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, POS Malaysia Berhad, Mobile Money and Paylink Global.

Priscilla advised consumers to pay their bills on time to avoid cutting of water supply.

Can get.

But you'll be charged with the notorious cross border transaction fee.

So it's around 4.2% cb instead?

i think visa/mastercard charge overseas transaction for 1%

never realize there is such a promo...

question....
i tried to book a hotel that is under this promotion eligible....but when I was at the payment details page, after filling in the CIMB card details...the price shown is still the same as if we book through www.agoda.com..... do we get the 7% rebate right away when we complete the booking at agoda.com, or how?

i assume there is no maximum capped for this 7% rebate right?

it won't show in your statement as cross border fee 0.8%. for example, your final price in agoda show as rm200, after payment with cimb cc, it shows as rm201.60 in your statement.

If I use CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum to book through agoda.com/cimb...
do i get 7% discount off + 5% cash rebate (due to online spending)?
