Anyone knows what is the best way to apply for cimb cards please?

1) Apply via cimb clicks to get RM 100 cash back
or
2) Go to card center to get some free gift?

Depends.
If the free gift is worth more than rm 100. I'd rather go to Card Center.  nod.gif

Card center for immediate approval.

No need wait, no need headache when the card goes missing via snail mail and etc.

Tried to link my credit card via cimb clicks but it failed.

Called to customer service and entertained by a CS guy who speaks poor English.

He said: Your linking request failed because you need to request for a pin first, and then go to ATM to change your PIN's password.

Can anyone explain to me his statement? I don't really know what he is saying and also what is a PIN's password.

Similar problem as I faced previously.

You need to call CS again and ask the forward to the CC department. Then, ask the CC team to generate an ATM PIN for your CC. This ATM PIN will be sent to your mailing address.

After, try to link up from there but I failed to do so and I have to call CS again to do the linkage.

Thanks for your explanation. It is so complicated. rclxub.gif

Regret getting it now.

My PBB and MBB cards just appeared in my account even before receiving the card.

Maybe you have previous cards and/or accounts (CASA or Clicks) with them. I suspected of this problem.
*
I have SA with them. That's why I tried to link it to my cimbclicks account. I am using the option "Link my credit card" inside. If it can't link properly and requires a PIN, why having that functionality at all?

I'm referring to OLD not current.
*
Nope. Don't have anything old/previous with them. All current and active.

Next time call to chinese speaking CS better. Since their English CS can't speak proper english.

Your phone number with them is updated ??

Same process like below and I received PIN after click "send to SMS"
*
Yes it is updated. After I entered the TAC and it says wait for 3 working days and that's it. I don't have the "send to SMS" option though..where is it?
