you need to convert from CASA to payroll account to be eligible.

Still waiting for more details from @fruitie.  tongue.gif  There might be some catch that aren't mentioned in TnC when you convert from CASA to payroll acc. The TnC on the campaign itself are very straight forward though.

Payroll account is a special account or it is just a term where your CASA account which is receiving payroll monthly? It sounds to me which is latter

david83, lee1234, noien, chiahau, ronnie and whoever is interested in the payroll account thingy.

Since I'm quite free today in the office so I made a call to CIMB to enquire further. These are my queries:

i) I asked about the eligibility to participate in this program. There are two versions of answers from their product team. One person says, everyone is eligible while the other person says only those received SMS blast will be eligible. She has taken down my details and will call me back again next week to confirm on the eligibility. My argument to her is that there is nothing mentioned in the clause that states this is only for invited customers.

ii) Assuming if everything is clear for part (i), you will need to register via SMS. I asked if there is any SMS confirmation after that, she said she wasn't told if there is any SMS confirmation. It will be good if you could call them after you send the SMS.

iii) How do you confirm that the amount transferred into CIMB account is my salary? Apparently, they will check with your HR if your salary account is CIMB account. You must have 6 consecutive salary records and you cash back will be paid in two months after that, which is the 8th month.

iv) I'm now in second tier and what if I receive a bonus in one of the first 6 months and it is more than 10k now? How do you determine the amount of my cash back? She said the payments transferred into your account for 6 months will be averaged and see it falls into which tier.

That's all I have asked and will come back on first question once she calls me back.

Thanks @fruitie . Anyone here received the sms? I will try to change my payroll from saving account to current account... no harm to give it a try.
Year end can get bonus to hit the salary higher but 10k is still too high celing to me... *cry

for those who credit their salary into normal CIMB/CIMBI CASA, eligible.

for those who already credit their salary into CIMB@Work payroll CASA acc, ineligible.

payroll acc is when you're a customer under this CIMB@Work branding. you can try reread Clause 3 & 4 in TnC.  smile.gif

Is your whole company using CIMB for salary crediting? If no, then most likely yours is just a normal CASA.
Like my company, we don't restrict employees on their preferred banks, so long they are operating in Malaysia, we will transfer fund. Our fund is transferred from Bank of America anyway.
By the way, I think we shouldn't discuss this topic here....
Where can we talk about this? This is not related to credit card. sweat.gif doh.gif

Thanks. All right, my company is self service..we just update bank info ourselves in the system. Should be in normal CASA then.
Got bank CASA topics here? biggrin.gif

Painful lesson continued:

Booking hotel room with CIMB Cash Rebate through Agoda.

Saw the 'recent transaction' online with a cash rebate that works out to be 0.2% cash rebate for all Agoda transactions!!

0.2%!!!!!

I called up the CS and requested for MCC and was told all of them are 4722.
He continued and say that I should be getting 5%, therefore raising a case to investigate.

May I know are you "pay now" or "pay later"?
