Is there any different between CIMB Cash Rebate Gold MasterCard with CIMB Cash Rebate Gold Master with
CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard in terms of feature.

Looks like only name and the requirement only ? gold - 24k , platinum - 60k

I am surprised with CIMB credit card! I swap my CIMB card for furniture today with RM3000 ++, I call and asking for easy payment, and they told me they didn't provide such service.. I am wondering how can it be? all other banks like RHB, UOB, OCBC all provided this service..

=(

The excuse they gave was "We are supporting our merchants, so we don't provide call in for installment."

Best solution for you is to BT it out for 0% interest tongue.gif

Just check, no different in terms of feature. just the Minimum annual income different. Guess it just for name sake.

It should be a debit card. Credit limit is your amount in the tied saving/current account.

Are you asking or telling us?

But, I can share with you that if you pay online at TM website or UOB Payonline, you won't get 5% cash back. I'm not sure if there's other channel.

I am new to the credit card. I got my Petronas Gold Master Card that I have applied on two week ago yesterday. It came with a generic Visa Gold Card that I did not sign up during my forms submission to the bank. Called CS for verification and she mentioned that currently they will provide the Visa card along with the other requested card to all new customer and ask me to try the card first before deciding for cancellation. As far as I know the Visa Gold Card has an annual fee @ RM140++ to be charged on the 2nd year onwards but the CS person said it can be waived later.

I have activated both cards eventually but now I get annoyed by this. I think I should have cancelled that Visa card in the first place instead of keeping both. What is the requirement of CIMB bank to waive the annual fee when it took place? I googled it but I can’t find info on that matter. Can they really waive it upon request?

No worries. You can use it for 11 months, if you want to.
On the 12th month, stop using it so that there is no outstanding amount on the card.

once the AF is charged to the card, you can call CS to waive. If they refused to waive, just cancel the card on the spot.
Without any outstanding amount from the card, basically you have not used the service, you can cancel the card without having to pay the AF.

Sometimes only. I thought BNM made it compulsory for banks to send sms for every transaction? Not sure if I remember correctly.

Nah. For my HLB MACH, I will need to walk in to nearest branch to apply for SMS triggers. doh.gif

Well...
Based on the criteria set by the Bank, the principal card members will receive the SMS alert for transaction(s) on their credit cards including supplementary card(s). Card members who travel overseas may incur international roaming charges.

HLB has SMS triggers function, but you will need to walk-in to activate it. That's their "criteria". laugh.gif

Typical Malaysian banks. I also went to "activate" the alert.
