i believe this is the part where we have to pay the outstanding according to the statement, and not deducting the cash rebates that was posted a day after statement date.

I think that's not true. I've always paid the amount after deducting the rebate and no interest charged. just look at this way, any money that you 'pay' whether by rebate, refund or transfer goes to clearing the statement balance. as long as it's done by the statement due date, u shouldn't be charged any interest.

have u confirmed with the cs?

Yeah me too, for my CIMB CR, I have been deducting my cash rebate before payment. So far, no interest yet. hmm.gif
For other cards, I don't do like this though. laugh.gif

As usual the standard documents:
NRIC, latest EPF statement or latest 3 months payslip. I always submit both EPF statement and 3 months payslip.

Sometime the bank system catch as outstanding balance which u swipe before the payment due.
Eg. Balance as at statement date: 1000
Ur dute date is 18 sep, n u pay rm950 on 15 sep after deduct the cash back. But u also swipe 50 within 29 aug -15 sep , ur outstanding balance at the time u pay is 50, so, they might count interest on 50 which u deducted..

it is system can't capture the cash back as payment.. U can lodge complaint n ask them to reverse the finance charge.

QUOTE(Jellymaker @ Sep 9 2015, 09:37 PM)
I use CIMB cash rebate credit card to try because if failed, at least I still got 2%.
Online shop on 4sep, I choose online payment as option, but they will only charge once the item arrive
So item arrive on 6Sep, and my statement date is the very special, on 8th of Sep. The transaction is NOT posted yet.

Will report again next month if it is 5% or 2%.

Spend at Tesco online, Pay online -> TESCO MY 75001 PUCHONG (2%)
Spend at Tesco online, Pay during delivery at doorstep-> TESCO PUCHONG-MPOS PUCHONG (2%)
Swipe at Tesco Bukit Puchong counter -> TESCO BANDAR PUCHONG PUCHONG (2%)

Tesco online not entitle for 5%

Tried to link my credit card via cimb clicks but it failed.

Called to customer service and entertained by a CS guy who speaks poor English.

He said: Your linking request failed because you need to request for a pin first, and then go to ATM to change your PIN's password.

Can anyone explain to me his statement? I don't really know what he is saying and also what is a PIN's password.

Similar problem as I faced previously.

You need to call CS again and ask the forward to the CC department. Then, ask the CC team to generate an ATM PIN for your CC. This ATM PIN will be sent to your mailing address.

After, try to link up from there but I failed to do so and I have to call CS again to do the linkage.

Thanks for your explanation. It is so complicated. rclxub.gif

Regret getting it now.

My PBB and MBB cards just appeared in my account even before receiving the card.

Maybe you have previous cards and/or accounts (CASA or Clicks) with them. I suspected of this problem.

I have SA with them. That's why I tried to link it to my cimbclicks account. I am using the option "Link my credit card" inside. If it can't link properly and requires a PIN, why having that functionality at all?

-  click my account --> My credit card --> select link my credit card
-  Key in your credit card number
-  Request TAC On SMS

Will take 3 working days to process...
