Hi, I'm interested in buying an Xbox360 to play on Live. How is the ping/lag for you guys? Do you guys connect to the Singapore or US servers?

Well its bearable when you play with local players as most (not all) XBL games are peer to peer connection, so its you connecting to my or someone else' box. Some games have hosted servers which are usually in the US/Oz/Uk I believe. |

So far, I have played GRAW, Saints Row and UNO on live.
Saints Row: Very good when playing among local players we can kill each other without much issue while trash talking each other. But when playing against ppl from other countries there are some significant lag. But you get to kill them without them knowing. They will curse u though. lol GRAW: Very good connection. I play with few of our local ppl. Not even a feel of lag. Played once with international ppl also no lag. UNO: Played with international ppl. No lag. You should buy, its worth. |

GRAW's problem was that it kept booting people out of the servers when play started. I remember how frustrating it was to start co-op, and then see your team members die straight away

The best game with the least lag is definitely Halo 2
I can barely play GRAW with my friend in Canada. Most arcade titles are alright but obviously if you play with dudes overseas you're bound to experience latency issues. Doom is horrible. I boosted for the achievements But really you shouldn't be worrying about it too much. We know how bad our internet is here and we can still play local games without too much problems. The problem is simply finding the players. A few months ago you could just jump straight into a GRAW match every night. Now it's changed. So you have to somewhat follow the trend Or you could be like me being the only one left playing Halo 2 |

I remember how frustrating it was to start co-op, and then see your team members die straight away Malaysia super stimix connection at best is 384kbps upload. thats fine if you play for up to 12 local peers, once more people join in sure some will DC from match. co-op would make it worst, on top of the people playing, there's the NPC which would also need bandwidth of their movement. for co-op the most stable is 4 local people only.SG host with 1Mbps upload can host 16 team/solo elimination without hiccup, co-op not so sure. JP connection is proven the best, i played before 16 people co-op mission. |
