QUOTE(denver @ Oct 6 2008, 09:00 PM) I thought so too, but the GPS stream shows lots of data "coming in" or streaming into my PDA. Anyway, how to manually log on to the satellite? click GPS (satellite pic)wait till you get at least 3 blue bars (more is better) then you get a "lock" on to the sats blinking of red dot ( i think) on the world map ( your real location) thats the indication your GPS is working at optimum level. and there is a voice informing you, " Your GPS is now on" when there is a full lock but you need to get outdoor to be able the sats to pick up your gps handheld/pda |

i think reinstall the software first & see how;
or the gps module has gone kaput ( i could be wrong as i m not that an expert) visit your pda shop and ask for opinions will be the better move if after reinstall still cant get a lock on check COM ports whether its the correct figure (some one mentioned you can get it auto detect), try it too |

with a BT gps...its easier can keep in the car
and i think as a stand alone, its receiver should be more powerful than built in pda? but need an adapter (2 socket) to charge the gps 2gether with the pda right? |
