hi guys, my frend has a touch pro and wants to use gps but the preloaded mapking 2007 looks like its running on 270x270 resolution. he would ike something a little more up to date.

i've been reading about the garmin mobile xt. looks a lot better and ppl say its much more user-friendly. as i understand it, its only available on an sd card, rite? lets say that my friend was able to get a copy of the software off the internet somehow..
1. how does he make it work? i.e: does he need to load it on a dedicated sd card, settings needed to set it up.
2. would he be able to use maps from malsingmaps with the garmin xt software eventhough his copy is not in the garmin sd card?

P.S. these are just hypothetical questions ofcourse... i'm not saying that he actually did get a copy of the software off the internet... but IF he was able to, could someone please PM me the answers to my questions. thanx
