Guys need help here...

A shipping service that consolidate and ship ur stuff bek from US. They also give you a US address for u to shop online in US.

So I bought a Garmin - nüvi 205W Portable GPS from Bestbuy.com coz' fren in US says a lot of good deals there now.

It's USD 190 = RM 700. My sister buy some Victoria Secret stuff and brother bought some clothes - Polo RL for USD30! So we consolidate and shipped back via that service vshub. It's 5kg and cost us about RM235.

We split the charges and there's like 8 items there. Now I scared that I have pay a high price for my Garmin. Coz' we divided by item...my shipping cost is RM30. Total cost of my Garmin 205w is around RM800 coz' got tax...

Is it EXPENSIVE?...I need to know in KL can we find a cheaper price? I search ebay is RM1290 for a 205w. If it's true...then it's worth it else I'm a sucker.

I bought mine from bestbuy.com and shipped via this service vshub.com.
Most US sites don't ship overseas and I can't buy from them because they require a valid US address, bestbuy.com is one of them. I tried Amazon before but after I reach the Ship & Payment page, I can't proceed further because they can't ship to my address in Melaka. Not sure where I done wrongly with Amazon.

But the shipping cost of 7.99+ 1.99/ lb is not cheap as well because the 205w is about 3 lbs because they count volume weight. Probably u have to pay about USD 15 for shipping. Then the customs site we probably need to drive up KLIA to clear the items.

That's the problem I faced until my friend has been telling me of the service call vshub. I registered with them and I get an US address. I waited and consolidate all my sister and brother purchased items and we shipped back all at once. Cheap that way + being in Melaka we dun have to go and clear customs to receive our stuff. They deliver to our house.

So I think u can try vshub.com...

Added on December 8, 2008, 5:33 pmI'm a new to GPS as well but if I'm able to get the 205w worked, then I think anyone can too. It's a basic entry level line. Useful when I go KL and Singapore. I always got lost there.

Personally for me I will buy from Amazon and use vshub to ship my items back. Let me know if you find something cheaper in the U.S. compared to KL price, coz' Mlk all things are more expensive. Now with the US address, I gonna shop online rather than pay extra in Mlk.

wow...130 pound only - 255w has anti theft feature? Wonder how it works?
