For those who travel out of malaysia. Celcom will charge you roaming rates when someone calls you and you happen to be in another country when you did not pick up the call and it goes to voicemail. I find this crazy because maxis and digi does not charge anything when you are out of the country and calls goes to voicemail. They only charge when you call to retrieve voicemail. But celcom charges you roaming rates for all calls that goes into voicemail and again charges you to retrieve voicemail.
maxis does the same too, at least for hotlink. i was in singapore once, turned on my phone briefly to receive tac for internet banking. after that, loads of spam calls came and went into vm, and i was charged roaming airtime for them. what made me more furious was that my number was inactive and yet deduction to my credit balance could still take place!all telcos in malaysia suck and they are out to fleece you. mcmc is hopeless. so you just have to find one that sucks less.
