QUOTE(hin81 @ Apr 13 2016, 11:57 AM)
Thanks for your advice. But I have no issue with Maxis. Why i port over because of the Maxis plan is too expensive.

I was at ground floor at Setia walk (Puchong) and Internet line was E only. Even in my landed house, the internet also E sometimes.

My office is located at 4th floor only and not other higher building that cover or block this area. If you say it cover by building and it will drop but why I go out from the building and everything is fine? And problem is, why it only happen few day at once and normally it was fine. It is frustrated if there is no service when I need to use the Internet. Now, once i switch on the mobile data, the line will drop. If no mobile data, then the line is fine.

If you said the signal tower is too far away, and this is thing that they need to enhance which add more signal tower to make it stronger.

I saw that puchong keep appear in the Celcom 4G modernization list, somehow this can also affect your line.

Hmm, it's good for them to modernize their tower.
We can get faster 4G speed, can't complain much.
Btw, why Celcom modernization only take few months while dg took 2 years?

Welcome to Celcom territory... in 2016 LTE speed and coverage benchmarking, Celcom scored in the last place, even lost to UMobile.

Are you referring to the 4G upgrade exercise? I am facing equal frustrations since a month ago with their broadband. Shitty signal, hardly can get any connection at night...thank god my contract is expiring next month. Going to change.

After many loyalty years, I have decided to port out this morning and now trying out UMobile.

Wtf happened weh.. Shah Alam also horrible coverage, dropped calls, sometimes emergency calls only, or worst no network. Even your sms service to check balance and validity also errors.

If u guys refer to my sig below, that was a few years ago.. blazing fast! And now it's 2016, can't even open up Google.

Every telco also upgrades their system, but can't take it anymore. Too long. Paid last bill, ported, now enjoying a better coverage and faster internet speed..

Ya lor, my Maxis mobile data's reduced speed (I've depleted my quota for this month thanks to Celcom) is even faster than Celcom broadband.

Lol, maybe because of this reason hit them on the face.
That's why they're currently doing modernization to upgrade their 4G speed.

Shah Alam modernization in progress, since when you face this issue?
If it happen before June, well I think it's has nothing to do with the modernization d.
That's mean celcom coverage really not good at Shah Alam.

Puchong area. I called their customer service 1 month ago to check why zero signal. Was told 4G exercise being conducted in my area. Asked when exercise will be completed, they said dunno. Now already entering 5th week, still same thing....either very very low signal or zero signal. I won't bother to call again and ask as I have decided to terminate when the contract is up next month.

Some area really take long time for the modernization. I saw that on their official site.
Like Damansara there start July, but until now the status still showing in progress.
Maybe got reschedule or delay ....... That's pretty suck man, but cannot deny that the 4g modernization did improved the 4g speed.

If only they proportionate the bill accordingly too! Low signal at times I can tolerate......very very low to almost zero signal is where I draw the line smile.gif

I want to share my experience being a Celcom user over the year.. At first it was Ok - Where I work in KL (Along Jalan Raja Laut, around Chow Kit area) at first was getting stable 4G reception with decent speed (I realize that I don't get full 4G speed, but ok la, no need so fast pun)

Then over the months, I realize the network was getting crappier, yes I still have 4G network connectivity (according to my phone and wifi dongle connectivity-icon), but there's no data movement at all and I have consistently more than 3GB of data quota every month (inb4 data sudah habis la mang).

Then I decided I should just switched to the lower preferred network settings, 3G and it's still the same. The connection + speed (the speed deteriorates badly too) is so lousy. I would port out to other telco, if there were any cheaper with better benefits.

Btw I do have umobile, and it fairs better Celcom in terms of coverage in the city (KL/PJ) but kinda sucks in the new mall where there's no telco network booster/repeater or strong tower coverage..

Recent 3 months, Celcom has been upgrading their tower for faster 4G speed mainly at KL area.
This upgrade can affect user connectivity and internet speed. You should check out Celcom official site, you can find out more details there as they are showing you the schedule for tower upgrade...

USJ which session? Based on the schedule shown, USJ is still ongoing for the tower upgrade.
Speed will drop during the upgrade. Don't you receive the sms from Celcom? They will msg u and inform regarding this issue.
