Was wondering which one is better, getting an iSkin for RM130 or the Invisible Shield + the Applesauce scratch remover for RM164 via the invisble shield website?

Anyone used the applesauce thing before?

Try bestskinsever.com instead. They provide the same thing compared to Invisible Shield but for a fraction of the price. USD5.99 if I'm not wrong.

is your ipod brand new? applesauce is of no use if your ipod still has the out-of-the-box shine. on the other hand, if your ipod has already had a few scratches and you wanna get rid of it, then applesauce (or radtech ice cream) would do the trick.

protection-wise, i'd say decide on how you're gonna use your ipod. if you're sure you're never (well, maybe once or twice in your lifetime ) drop the pod, get the invisibleshield. it gives excellent protection against scratch without adding bulk to your lovely gadget. it's perfect if you usually carry the pod in your pocket.

however, if you're more of a rough and tough person, get the iskin. it protects the ipod againts hip height falls far better than the invisibleshield. just don't expect it to save your ipod's life if your 6 year old niece suddenly decide to throw it accross the living room, though...

hope this helps. i, personally prefer radtech sleevz. ideally, invisibleshield AND sleevz... but i can only afford one at the moment . so i went for the simpler RM30 film protection and soon, a black sleevz...

hey fortynine, where did ya get your RM30 film protection? Is it good? I'm still waiting for my invisible shield to arrive (2~3 weeks) and my iPod has yet to come out from the box. Damn...

Anyway, back to topic. I bought Invisible Shield via internet but it takes 2~3 weeks to arrive. It costs USD$20 (free shipping). So, now I thought of getting one temporary to use first or else my nano will stay in the box for weeks

My Ipod i got it a few months bac, a bit scratched at the metallic part la, minor scratches, but the numbers ain't little. Now using some cheap silicone skin, to think about it, wasn't worth the price coz need to get the shields as well.So, I was thinking of getting the Invisible Shield + applesauce, or the iSkin.

The Radtech Sleeves ain't bad, price is much cheaper than iSkin evos, how good is it actually, might buy that instead.

Anyone went to the Machines shop in Midvalley, looks like they have a lot of skins to choose from.

But still, if for e, what you guyz recomment, invisble shield, or skins?

im using hardshell transpareant, bought it for rm99 at macasia..altought my ipod look bigger, but guarantee no scratch...!!satisfied with it!

i'm using it together with the black neoprene sleeve that comes with my ipod. so far the film protects my pod from fingerprints and smudges. since my pod spends most of its time in the neoprene sleeve, i can't say much if the film is really good. it just gives me peace of mind knowing that the shiny ipod back won't be easily scratched by dust particles that manage to find their way into the sleeve.

film protectors, i think most gadget selling stores carry them. it ranges from a cokia RM15 film protection to mid-range belkin film protectors which retail at RM60. i got mine from one shop in one utama. (NOT the apple store. they carry belkin's protective overlays. unfortunately they had no stock left for ipod vids)

since it's a sleeve, it basically protects the whole ipod (except for the open end at the top), therefore better than a typical film protection. style-wise, i have no complaints. it looks comfy sexy... protection-wise, iSkin's the best (compared to sleevez and film protector) since it protects against more than scratches. however i don't like iSkin because it renders my ipod bulky.

it's totally up to you. you're the one using the ipod... all product has its own strength and shortcomings. it's how you use your gadgets that tilt a few to your advantage and liking.

The Radtech Sleevz looks good. Where to get that?

podstation in lowyat carries some for nano, the ones for video are out of stock. i am still looking for a local retailer that carries sleevz for ipod video.
