Why Kia Cerato has no longer 2.0L for sale?
Saw on mudah all brand new only have 1.6L at around RM85K with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty.
*
Naza Kia has decided to discontinue the 2.0 L Cerato, as it is not price competitive enough, and in the past, they had to sell at a loss to move the stock. Hence now, only 1.6 K3 (SX) full spec is being offered to the market. Are you considering to get one ?

Yes. How is the FC? And will it feel underpowered with 1.6L?
Quite tempting with the price and 5 years unlimited mileage warranty.
*
FC is about 6.8 Litre/100 km but this is of course dependent on your driving preference and road condition. 1.6L is not underpowered, suggest you do a test drive to find out more.

Thanks for the feedback.
How is the reliability and maintenance cost after 5 years?
Browsed thru the thread and some complained rattling dashboard, steering problem, radio reception not clear, etc. Are those issues still occur for current latest batch?
How about the maintenance & spare parts availability after 5 years warranty coverage? There are mix comments that expensive and affordable.
*
Those problems highlighted are not typical, they don't happen on each and every Kia Cerato. With all due respect, I don't think it is ever possible to find a particular car model that is totally problem/defect free. It is important to note that Kia ranks very highly in Initial quality study IQS report. This is an independant study and compares the number of defects found in new car across many makes. Hope this helps you in your decision making.

Glittering Metal- still a hugely popular color for Kia Cerato K3. This one had an all black tinting on, for that modern sophisticated look.

hi guys, i want to ask about premium for windscreen coverage? i've been quoted rm450 for rm3000 w/s coverage, is that too high or normal rate? tq.

Yes, if you insist on getting from authorised Kia Service center, that would be the cost, about 2500 - 3000. But if you take from other 3rd party sources, cost can be lower. Do remember that you still need to add a 6% for SST, on top of the 15% premium based on sum insured.

Guys, I am considering to buy yaris full spec at 83888.
But saw carlist have some selling cerato new 1.6 at 83k...

Considering a few factors such as
Reliability
Resale value
Based on the two factor which will be a better buy yeah? And I know both cars are in a different segment, but just need some input
Ps: bootspace is not a concern, and will be hardly used as a 'outstation' car

Thanks alot

any owners here changed their headunit?
any recommendations?
mine is the 1st batch of skd cerato, small HU
*
Sometime back, there was this WinCE touch screen head unit in the market for upgrade. But I don't think there is any more stock since the new facelifted K3 now comes with built-in large head unit.

Besides that, you can also consider the original K3 head unit from Naza, but the price is quite steep, somewhere between 4-5K if not mistaken.

hi, I'm planning to get 2013 secondhand kia cerato demo unit with 40k+ mileage. May I know how much servicing fee would cost per year? and is the spec expensive?
*
On average, if you service at every 10,000 km or every 6 months interval, the total cost for 2 Times service in a year will add up to about RM1000 to RM 1200 per year or every 20,000 km. However, since a 2013 unit warranty has ended, you can choose to service it outside and it is a lot cheaper.

thanks for answering. one more question, why some cerato has k3 label on the back of the car while some don't?
*
Certain earlier batches of K3 didn't come with the emblem, but later batches had it. No significant difference to the specs, whether the K3 emblem is there or isn't.

Yes, but KX had a stock KX emblem of its own, unless the owner himself removes it.

Only engine 2.0 come with leather seat and sunroof?
*
Yes, only Cerato 2.0 come with factory fitted leather seat and sunroof. However, the 2.0 variant has been discontinued and only 1.6 SX variant is on sale. It is possible to upgrade the 1.6 SX fabric seat to leather though, but this is done after market. Thank you.
