nope, last time before the new BNM rulings, maybank will automatically increase your limit if you are a good paymaster/spend a lot using card/loyal to maybank whenever renewing card.

my example was i started at rm5k in 2005, then increased to rm10k in 2008 (1st renewal) and later rm15k in 2011 (2nd renewal).

i think the auto-increase in credit limit stopped around 2011/2012, when bnm required all banks to follow the new cc limit (base salary x 3 or something) and that those who earn less than rm24k/year are no longer eligible to get credit cards at all...

those who earn less than rm36k/year can only have 1 card...
