Its depend you buy for own stay or short term investment, if you rent you will never own it, if u buy you must stay at least 5-10 years to wait for it gradually appreciate and later you may sell it to gain profit and upgrade to bigger house. Otherwise you may rent it out to cover its loan interest, if you currently has house to stay... its based on individual needs.
