No lag spikes... Just consistently high latencies around 1.5-1.7k

QUOTE(Xeoalpha @ Apr 23 2005, 04:39 PM) I've just spent 2 1/2 hours with a guy in StreamyX on the phone - He &I went through all my eMails, my reports and all my supporting documents (Like http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,13238889 ) Well, good luck.. and hope something productive comes out of it.He knows about users resetting until they can get 218 - because there are tonnes of reports filed everyday about 219 and 218) - He invited me to come over and discuss this with them. Im still on hold on the phone - I'll post more. Getting really tired and disillusioned myself, not seeing anything positive for so long. Hope the guy you are going to talk to even has an inkling of what traceroutes and proxies actually are. If it was me, I would show them the irrefutable proof that as it stands, my backup dial-up connection is doing better than my 1-24/388 Streamyx connection, and let them work it out for themselves from there. |

When I logged on this morning to do some mooncloth washing and to put some stuff on the AH, the latency was at 410-480 ms... then I had to leave for work.

Yesterday evening was as good as Monday evening, not as good as it was on Tuesday evening, but hopefully they are just doing some tweaking here and there and it'll settle down before the weekend comes.
Hope springs eternal, I suppose... |

Actually, I had a comparitively good session last night. 900-1100 pings with a couple of short spikes.
Not completely back to normal yet, but certainly better than it has been for a long time. |

I am one of the first subscribers as well, and yes, I can't seem to get out of 219.95.*
That said, while it may be congested, I also noticed that Port 1, if I am indeed on it, is great as far as stability is concerned. I don't get the disconnection problems like some of you have rather frequently. In fact, I can't seem to remember when was the last time I got disconnected. WoW latency is tolerable now... and I must rather have stability over slightly better performance. |

QUOTE(ionStorm @ May 6 2005, 01:16 PM) My IP is 219.94.*.* at the moment. Hmmm... how do you do this? Disable Trellis Coding, that is...I disabled Trellis Coding on my modem. It seems alot smoother now. 600 - 700 as opposed to 1.0k - 1.2k. Mine's a D-Link DSL-series modem. This post has been edited by wildside: May 6 2005, 02:16 PM |

Anybody else's 219.95.xx.* connection - i.e. where the third octet is a 2-digit number - running today at 900-1k+ latency instead of 500-700 like in the past few days?
