To be recognized you need 4 yrs of working experience? Can someone clarify on this?
What working experience do we need? To be recognized as a CFA ( after passing all the exam), we need to have 4 years of relevant working experience such as in Banks, Securities and financial advisory fields only?
What about corporations and firms that have corporate finance department? Will the CFA Board acknowledge those working experience?
Anyone mind sharing some input?

QUOTE(clngu @ Jun 6 2008, 09:40 AM) CFA is professional certificate, different from Master Degree (academic). so far not many people with CFA status in Malaysia. so demand is there. however CFA is difficult to pass especially level 2 and 3, without adequate working experience and tutorial is nearly impossible. Please describe the relevant working experience required and how long is the duration? Is 6 months possible or 1 year or more than that?

QUOTE(pokeat @ Aug 15 2010, 06:20 PM) Is there any accounting question in CFA Exam ? Of course there will be accounting questions but not preparing financial statements or writing accounting standards requirement. You will be tested on interpreting financial statements and extracting accounting information for decision making. The designation is pretty obvious, financial analysts. Having said that, they will craft these accounting questions in objective format. It may sound easy, but if you add exam pressure and time constraint into the chemistry, it's a different ball game. Visit cfa website and download the respective LOS.
