CALCULATORS Allowed:

Hewlett Packard 12c

Texas Instruments Baii Plus

only these two models are allowed?

Hello Zonx.

I plan to register for the exam before the 1st deadline passes.

Is there anything that i need to be aware of when registering?

One more thing, I am not certain whether my degree is recognized by the CFA association. Can anyone help me in this?

For your information, i am currently in my last semester in one of the local university and i wish to take the exam straight away after this.

Thank You!!!

Are you going for Dec 08? what course are you taking? is it honored? The best way is to check with your course coordinator. I Think degree with bachelor (honour) is recog..correct me if i'm wrong..hah blush.gif

Is CFA tough ?

CFA requires knowledge about finance. if u r really interested in it. there should hav no problem given you are willing to spend time on it. It depends.

Any experienced candidates here?

I'll be sitting for June exam

It's quite simple to register for the exam. sign up in cfa website. fill in your information. register and pick an exam loc (eg Kuala Lumpur). then pay by credit card. You can view your status is confirmed within 1~2 days after payment made. You will get a parcel from the institute within 1 week.

I feel like I haven't prepared enough. Exam is on this Sunday. "Wasted" too much time reading the boring textbooks. Only found the Schweser notes last week, but it's too late to cram in the notes now. :'(
*
Which level you took last sunday?

personally i feel the sunway pyramid c c is not a good place for holding an exam! the dim yellow lights which also cause multiple of my own shadow on my table. It's even worse when i was trying to fill in all those ovals. After the exam, i just feel that my eyesight got bad and seeing things blurly shocking.gif shocking.gif being more than 6 hours in that condition. even now i still feel i see thngs blur mad.gif

crossing fingers hope i will pass the exam. shakehead.gif

Where you reg for the L2 exam? I'm graduating this December & planning to take the L1 exam. But I'm not sure if I have sufficient time to study for it. After graduation, I plan to do some traveling for a month before I get my feet back on track. What do you think huh?

Planning to hit Europe after my New York trip end of this year. ITS GONNA BE SO COLD!!!! shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif
*
I reg thru cfa website. I will do the same if I have that cash drool.gif since you are not attached to any company after you grad. it's not bad brows.gif
If you really want to take cfa, check their fees and plan for it. The earlier you register for the exam, the more cash you can spend on your holiday brows.gif brows.gif

What do you mean by "Did they inform you that the exam is gonna be in paper format?"??

you can check for the paper format in cfa website. Now, it's mcq for lv1 and lv2. essay for lv3.

I reg for KL testing center since that's the only one in malaysia. can't pick unless you plan to take it oversea wink.gif

I don't know about most shops, but one near my office charges RM1 per page. Yes, the 2009 Schweser Level 1 soft copy is out. PM me if you want more information.
*
they charge you for the photocopy fees? or because it's schweser so they charge you RM1? that is too exp!!
