any CFA holder here who's working in the banking or securities industry can give some input on how the CFA certification helps in ur career ? or the working experience is much more important than the CFA qualification in investment ?

do u study full time for the exams after graduation ? or study for the exams while working ?

thanks....

I was planning to do CFA this month. And after I heard the passing rate is quite low (around 40%) and it's very hard to pass, I've changed my mind. I don't think I could give 100% effort to do this course. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discourage you guys and I'm very interested in this programme. You must be hardworking and put a lot of effort to pass. Don't want to retake the exam and I don't want to spend another RM3000+ to sit for the exam again. I will opt for MBA instead. sad.gif

I agree. Da*mm tough!! PAssed level 1 few yrs back, but falied Level 2 twice!! I am considering MBA, which is much easier, but more expensive and less recognised if u get a cheaper universities, like our UM.

To qhw questions, in M'sia Investment Banks, it will only help when you are looking for jobs (or to jump jobs later on) but it doesnt help in ur daily work / promotions.
