note: that are people suggest mirrorless Sony A5100 based on my research is not able to record more than 30minutes as will overheat and force shut down and while charging battery does not allow to record at the same time https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...06120734AAZe0bX

action camera like gopro or xiao mi yi camera also not suitable due to do not have zoom option

u say u prefer sony, so just buy sony.
u want to record long, then cameras are out of the question due to the 4gb / 30min limit.

the cx240 is a 2014 model.
cx405 is 2015 model.
very little differences between the 2, and im sure u already know sony got nothing else really that does hd for rm1.2k and below apart from those 2 that meets ur requirements.
so since both same price, just buy the 2015 model.

and if u want cheaper, then theres the panasonic 2015 model v160 that retails at rm899.

Dunno how you vlog that's why. 2 hour continuous in a room? What are you going to continious vlog about for 2 hours?

But maybe if I do a vlog on the cheap in a more proper way I would get gears like this:

-china knockoffs of the GoPro cameras - they shoot HD on the cheap.

-Wired lavalier mic - good audio so people cam hear you clearly. Wired ones are not expensive and can plug right into laptop to record.

-300 led lights x 2, considering all cheap cameras suck at indoor and lowlight. These will make your videos look more pro and worth the investment if you take your vlogs seriously. Many china brands make this affordable.

well i record long because i use to continuous recording then edit it out for unwanted videos ( you can click my channel by link at my siggy)

reason i dont choose coz it does not have zoom...which very limit for me recording

i using AT2020 condenser microphone

led light i think not needed...i might need a reflector if not mistaken...i really invest alot for my channel over 2k alrdy

not to say i alrdy bought tripod and green screen ready now

From the two models you were thinking I'll probably go for the SONY HDR-CX405 as it has sony's newest XAVC S codec. But i do hear you need a fast SD card to accommodate it.
