Hi. My STB also got updated yesterday. All is gone. My kodi, file browser, basically all of them. bangwall.gif
I hope somebody out there will come with a solution to our problem.

But there is one thing I want to share here. Some people didn't know this.
The basic internet browser preloaded in our STB can download stuffs. CAN download. But there is a trick to do that.
Normally you cant click on any link or download button and hoping it to download. It will give you the "sorry does not support download" error.

What you want to do is grab a mouse, google for a direct link to anything you want to download, click+hold on the file (direct link) until a menu appear, and select 'save link'. (double tap+hold if you're using trackpad)
If you download; for example an mp3 audio, you can play the file in My Media app in our STB. But the problem now is to view any .apk file is impossible with My Media app. That's where I am stuck.

If anyone knows how to open apk in download folder, please share here.

Thanks!

In order to view local files on the sdcard with the default Android browser just enter file://sdcard/ and then the path to the file you want to view. For example if you have an xml file named "person" in a folder named "xmlfiles" it would look like file://sdcard/xmlfiles/person.xml in your address bar.

Try this. Found on the internet. Good luck! Dont forget to share any good news with us.

Thanks for the tip.. But I've tried that before.

You see, browser will only view the files, not opening the file.
If I click at the files in my download folder in the browser, it will assume I want to download the file.
