Of course no. All apps just sideload from thumb drive, works flawlessly.
I always download my stuff from APK Pure. This is the direct link: https://apkpure.com/astro-on-the-go/com.astro.astro
I mixed up the tablet version, I was referring to HyppTV Everywhere. tongue.gif
This is the version I use.

Noted with thanks, btw how can we arrange the icon?

i mean, i can't download anything from Google Play Store and this forum has got 46 pages and its in there some where. so i would appreciate if some one could share as to how can i use the tv box to install apps like kodi etc.
*
1st you need to enable Wifi under setting for STB to access internet and login your google play account.

2nd there is limited apps available in google play store (Android TV) but ES file explorer is available for download (go install ES file explorer).

3rd download apps (APK files) from web (google search apk) and copy to USB drive/micro sd using PC/Laptop.

4th plug in usb/micro sd to STB and used ES file explorer to install apps.

please take note, STB only available 2G space.....only install the one you really need to most.
I have successfully installed Kodi, astro on the go and youtube (TV version)......all working well

hope this help smile.gif

Yes, I never download any app from Play Store on this box except for ES File Explorer.
I just downloaded the apk from APKPure: https://m.apkpure.com/astro-on-the-go/com.astro.astro then sideload it.
Hmm. Honestly I didn't notice on the auto play thingy because I unusually end videos before they finish. I will try out next time or others can advise.
1.3.11 will have issue as reported earlier. Just stick to 1.2.7.
*
Noted, will just stick to 1.2.7

All this while I cannot play due to this storage issue. Just 2GB only, I don't think I can play any. So I gave up on it.

The same thing happen to me too with the app.
But I notice there is an popcorn time add on for kodi and its allow you to change save Location to usb/microSD. You can do more setting on add on setting.

But i have not really fully tested and watch an complete movie (watch half way only)...... 😅

so u say u can use es explorer to copy n move ur files around on the box ? why i can do it? cant right click the files, i dont have th copy n paste option. which version or es explorer r u all using? i had the blue one.. sorry im still an android dummy. might be i dont know how to perform it hehehe.. currently its  a bit hassle as i need a laptop to do my file operation on the hytptv box..
yup me too, also use it to connect to my cloud dropbox. easier for me to upload it there n redownload to box to install apk. my usb is stuck with kodi data on it i dont want to plug in n out
*
you cant right click because this is not window or mac. try pointing your mouse at the icon and LONG PRESS (if using remote control, try long press 'OK'), a window should pop up for additional function.
is same as what you do on android/IOS phone.

hope this help

u mean thumbnails?

it will definitely use up internal space, the more you browse, the bigger the space it is taking.

need to use the program addon i recommended before (Raw maintenance)  to frequently clear thumbnails, cache and package. yes manually.
*
I have addon (forget the program name) for auto search subtitle for every movie/drama played by kodi.
do you have any idea the subtitle is downloaded to STB or streaming?
anyone here used similar addon?
