agree. too much interference when using wireless connection.
for me, my setup is simple. my router & btu upstair and stb downstair, i attempted to connect wirelessly but connection totally not stable.
i tried many settings, fixes, all useless. I even consider buying homeplug but after much research, i still go back to LAN cable.
Why? because LAN cable provides the fastest connection compared to wireless and homeplug. It is the cheapest method and fastest connection. Why bother buying homeplug if you need to use electricity to power both homeplug?
so i buy LAN cable myself and cable clip and connect myself. All problem solved, now i just need to install playstore to install other apps. Any sifu sila tunjuk ajar how to install playstore.
if you decided to use cable, make sure cable dont exceed 100m otherwise signal will start degrade. Now i m watching 1080p 60hz at full speed. I know some tv box now provides 4k resolution, maybe you can buy another box instead of unifi tv.
LAN vs wireless, choice is obvious to go for cable unless your place really cannot use cable.
Use our tried and tested CTRL J method. Save yourself from the headache trying to figure out how to get playstore to work. Unless you know how rip, mod and rebuild a rom, I would not advise it. There's no real need to add playstore and the bulk of google stuff that comes with on such a low powered box.

Hi all, I just got my unused EC6108EC from my store. Decided to set it up for some TV's since I have "downgraded" to 100mbps recently.
Done some reading; noted the "ctrl+j" method.
Worked for me to install ES File Explorer, Astro Go.
What I cannot get it to work is the Astro Go... It wouldn't let me log in.
I have the login from my sister who subscribes to Astro but not using Astro Go.
I managed to get the app running and then directed to the browser for login. But it feedbacks "Bad_Respone" and that's it...
I have also tried to skip the login but it doesn't give any response.
Anyone knows what I can do here?Furthermore, anyone can recommend what apps to install for TV shows or movies?
Still learning to setup kodi... :-/
I've already given up on Kodi. Too much hassle for so little. Now I just stick to standalone apps for streaming. Among others :
Morpheus TV
ShowBox
MegaBox
Popcorn Time
Kshow
Viu
Animania
RedBox TV
LiveNet
Mobdro
RSSPlayer
For everything else in between there's always a streaming site somewhere to use with firefox
Oh, btw, I have all this loaded on my main droid box. There's no way the tm stb can handle so many apps without crapping itself. Just install what you need. I'd recommend morpheus tv first.
