I did not install Kodi and I didn’t use WiFi.
I watch Unifi channels via LAN cable.

You can try to watch youtuber name anotherchat, she is my source of streaming TV channel for kodi.

Besides, you can install RSS player for icdrama

by the way, my unifi only 10mbps

Is the unifi play tv app from play store same as the original stb?

Currently they have this RM129 for 100Mbps package but without STB. So I'm thinking of subscribing it and get my own android tv box. Will it works the same?

The UnifiTV form PlayStore@AppStore is not same as the STB version. The apps version is the crapier one: ugly UI, non remote control friendly, and worse some channels couldn't even play except on the STB one.

Im on the same boat too, Unifi Lite 10 Mbps. You need to topup your bill to RM159 (thats with ultimate pack) to enjoy your STB.

hi i recently install unifi 100MB but bill show got unifi playTV Lite Ruby rm32.9.
Is this compulsory to pay? i no need IPTV UNIFI. tq for help.

unifi lite come without stb box, even ur topup for subscribe ultimate. still ultimate play tv lite.

if u downgrade from any package unifi before, like's 30mbps. u have stb right. u can watch via stb box. if u new user n subscribe best price unifi 100mbps, this package don't have stb box. u can watch via laptop or u fone. RM129 with aneka, varnam and ruby plus.

Android boxes have a notorious habit of downcutting your connection speed regardless of type - cable or wifi. Especially boxes loaded with apps that use background data. There's no real way to go about this one other that manually force stopping the apps until you get a good enough speed. Also worth to note that the network stack drivers in these boxes are so poorly coded, they won't ever be able to take full advantage of your connection speed. Whoever wrote them was going with data or power save in mind perhaps.

My advice is to get a newer box if you're gonna run kodi, especially if you're gonna be streaming h.265 and 4k content. This box ain't gonna cut it.


No need. The hypptv box already has the app built in. Look for DLNA in apps. It's the green colored icon one.


Is it the new RM129 one? If not part of any fixed promo like the old RM179 one where you must get unifitv to get the price, you can opt to remove it from your services. Either go TM point or login to unifi.my and remove package from there.

Now on ethernet cable can get 500mbps.. On 2.4 get 100mbps..internet is fast But now still using this old stb...planning to upgrade box between rk3399 or s912.. This old stb i Just use it to watch downloaded movie. Use mygica oso dunno which good addon for local content...
