how to solve "Disk space insufficient" in STB?? Now everytime i play movie, it keep crushing.

Hi everyone, I'm new with HyppTV STB.
Luckily I stumble upon this thread so I managed disabled the updates.

Now I'm using Kodi as main interface especially it boot up straight to Kodi (I installed SPMC actually).

1. How to get Kodi to recognise the external Hard-disk/thumbdrive connected to this STB. Because the "External Drive" detected by Kodi is the internal memory of that STB.

2. It's seems that Fast forward and play/pause button on remote are flipped over. I tried to changed by using Keymap add-on, only managed to map Play/Pause button, but Fast Forward button didn't detect by Kodi. Anyone can solve this problem?

I can read Chinese but so far it is not needed for me.
Maybe for the benefit of others, if any of you guys found this link again, can post here.

I'm able to do the adb connection through wifi + chinese software and install apk through adb method.

Installed play store (with play service), but it won't start at all.

Youtube seems broken too.

What am I missing?

I was thinking if anybody will take advantage over this and start making business. Sigh.

This kind of ppl might be "too free nothing to do"

Anyway, PlayStore is not important anymore if you have ES File Explorer installed.

Why is my KODI play HD video everytime will crash? How to solve this?

the freaking update is taking more and more space, now left only ~400mb

should i factory reset?

I've done that long time ago infact i was the one to get 1.1GB space left with only kodi and es. installed

If you read few posts before this, the latest autoupdate not even include PlayStore. Faizal was helping member to get the store back and some method to install apk.

User who already removed playstore before this do not want faizal's method as the store is taking up space. And supposedly the latest update should provide more space as no playstore is included but no. the firmware getting bigger.

I should have disabled the autoupdate but i dont know how.

TM updated the bloat firmware without any new apps or improvement.

I only have kodi* now (after cleared cache, packages and thumbnail) i also removed astro and the go and es explorer** and the space left = 550MB (pathetic)

*my kodi very much slim version only exodus & quasar addon (not the bloat version : salt/ xfinity)
** i realized that since the iFlix update es explorer is buggy and faulty

Now with only 550MB (sometime go down to only 200MB), my Kodi keeps hang in the middle of movie due to lack of space. I have to on/off the box. DTSHDMA movies will stutter unlike few days ago.

So if anyone else facing this problem did you factory reset? or go to recovery mode and reinstall previous firmware supplied by faizal?

Setting up kodi to my liking is too much work & taking a lot of time, so factory reset is the one i want to avoid.
