Added on March 1, 2007, 3:17 pmBy any chance you spotted that around PJ? I once saw a white FC with the same RedSuns sticker at Menara Merias basement carpark. Near SS2. Nice bodykit with very dark tinted windows.

woah!!! Maserati MC12 cost RM7 Million!? i rather moved to USA and i can buy 3 exactly same unit! lol..

Insurance over there is insane. If you go for sportscar like this, it costs more than the installment of the car itself and you have to pay that every freaking month.

when my former started driving when he was 17 in Newcastle, the car price was GBP 900 but the insurance premium is GBP 1k. and in the UK, the premium is not flat, unlike malaysia. depend how where u park ur car, in the garage, lower. On the street, higher. if ur area high crime rate, higher premium, etc

and they have yearly inspection, etc. all these makes buying used cars an unwise choice.
btw, any1 of u ever get into trouble for snapping those photos? i pressume u dun seek permission 1st.

Same story with my mate in the states. He can afford an Evo over there but he got an insurance quote of over 900 bucks per month. That's more than what he has to pay for the monthly installment. According to him, the premium for all performance 4WD drive like Evo and Skyline costs a god damn fortune over there.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! scooby's!1!1! yeah.. rclxm9.gif

but one weird thing is, you know the first scooby pic? it reminded me of the Satria Neo at first glance. is it just me? unsure.gif

and the center grill reminded me of the Vios. doh.gif doh.gif
*
Neo? Nope tongue.gif

I know quite a lot of people don't really like the pig nose. That's the best grill and bumper I've ever seen so I post it up. The one in 2nd pic is not bad too. The rest of the pics are nicely done. Not to mention the last one seemed to have some killer mod under the bonnet.

the things below the headlamps, are those turbines?
*
Yea. One supposed to be on top of the engine but this has 2 at the bumper. A rather extreme setup. 2 vertically mounted intercoolers, normally only one at the top of the engine and that's why scoody has a bonnet air scoop. Besides that you see 2 air-filters next to the intercooler as well. On a stock car the air intake is located at the grill.

Looks cool doesnt it?  rclxms.gif
Any performance/reliability advantage, or is it just for looks?
*
That's the only pic I have so it's hard to judge by that. One advantage for this boxer engine is their pistons are lying on their sides. This reduced the engine height and improved the center gravity of the car since its engine is closer to the ground. This owner further enhanced that.

QUOTE(Drifter @ Mar 12 2007, 08:40 PM)
so, it's twin turbo. but the ic is kinda small, rt
*
The size of the turbines are small as well. This setup provides more balance so that the power can be evenly distributed across the rev band. Power is more accessible but compared to one giant turbocharger, the hp rating would be lesser.

those 2 aint Datsun bro.. its Toyota.. A Celica TA22 to be exact. wink.gif

the grey Datsun 240Z is damn freakin sexy.. damnit. Ive only seen 280Z and 260Z. My fren has the 280Z.. but its too huge compared to 240Z which is a gem.. drool.gif
*
Ops, sorry about that. Come to think of it, I remember seeing one TA22 for sale at 8k.

The force is strong with 240z. 300zx is not bad either but when it comes to 350z, some of the magic has gone.

Just like the M5 and normal 5 series, the front bumper is different. And I don't think he is one of those wanna-be who fitted an M6 bumper on a normal 6 series.
